As we transition to a new schedule with our kid in preK, we are trying to figure out a better way to plan our dinner and evening routine. Every evening just feels like an exhausting mad dash to make dinner, try to get kid to eat, eat ourselves, bathe kid on bath nights and get him to bed. Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. If you know that life, I’m pretty much the main parent for our kids. I don’t want to work in the hospital/floor work anymore; nor do I believe the hrs are flexible enough. Any advice from moms who did Babywise? We did it for our first and it went PERFECTLY. Now 2nd kid is 3 weeks old and im having a much harder time and don’t know how to solve our issues. She’s trying to eat every 2 hours some days, she was doing 4.5 hour night stretches but stopped & now wakes every 2.5-3 hrs at night. She’s waking at 5:30-6:00 am when we want a 7 am wake time. Maybe she needs a later first wake time in the AM?. . I can’t seem to get her on a real schedule.

Vaccines: 1) for the 2months appointment is it best for the baby to receive all vaccines at the same day or is it best to spread them out over the subsequent weeks, eg one vaccine per week? Rationale: so that the little body can better cope with the vaccines? 2) any tips so the baby can better deal with the vaccines? Eg while they receive the shots is there anything that can be done so they don’t scream so much? Or after so they don’t have much side effects from the vaccines?

What’s something you were literally unable to do while pregnant? I apparently forgot how to drive. Literally every time I get in my car it’s some kind of issue. Typing this as I wait for my boyfriend to come get me off a curb 😩

Why am I doing this?
