You have to check the local rules for that specific bankruptcy court. Each court has a procedure a little different.
Some courts require a local counsel with their business address to apply for your pro hac admission. Others have a simpler procedure.

Technically bankruptcy is federal - not sure if it’s similar to immigration, where you can represent clients in different states? If you just get sworn into federal court, wouldn’t you be covered? Might be dumb question and completely wrong, just sharing my thoughts.
