Any leads in pharma consulting at MBBs?
Received an Amazon inclined recycle outcome in August for L6 technival position. Told I needed to mini loop on another role for placement. Fast forward to this week, requested to interview for another L6 technical position - they want to do full 6 hour loop. Sys Dev Manager first role vs Sr TPM for 2nd role. Annoyed... 🤨
Hi Fishes, I am a Subcon working at CG and have resigned recently with NP of 30 days. Is it necessary to explain as why I have decided to leave? If yes, will it be okay if I tell them practical reason but it would be a lie ofcourse. By any means, i have no intentions of staying back/receiving conversion or even hike since I have a way better opportunity with an organisation of repute and I don't want to get into any corporate politics. Will it be a problem for me if they find out later?Capgemini

As candidates, we think Recruiters work for us but they really don't. They work for the company thus have to prioritize what is going to get their work done the fastest and please all their immediate stakeholders (some who are difficult to manage or don't know what they want). Recruiters at these large companies get so many unsolicited emails on LinkedIn and directly on their inbox, they won't be able to respond to each email they receive. Your best bet if you want your InMail response, is to reach out to someone who oversees the role you are seeking to be hired into. But make sure it is, not a template email, make it personal, and also don't make it an essay-long email. You can also reach out to someone in the current role and ask if they are willing to give you 15-20 mins of their time to understand their responsibilities and the work and if they agree ask about the recruiting process or if they are willing to help you out.
That’s great advice! Thank you!
As someone who does human capital consulting work, the biggest element is optimizing your Linkedin. I find people for projects by roles & keywording certain titles (ie. Strategy, marketing, sales, IT).
Include the high level details from your resume in your job descriptions & try to quantify those as much as possible (ie. hired 25% of headcount in 3 months, achieved 113% of sales target Q1 2022, grew engagement on FB page 140% in 4 months).
Put in your industry specific keywords & software solutions you’re an expert in - especially if it’s something you know might translate well into the new roles you’ve been looking into.
If you have an odd title at your role that’s company-specific, don’t be afraid to clarify that! One example might be if your official title is associate but in a typical company, you would be a BDR please make sure to include it for recruiters that won’t understand.
If you’ve done freelance or volunteer work, make sure to include that in as well (bonus if it’s something visual you can link/share/attach).
Thank you! Im trying to figure out how to do all of that and am just learning more about LinkedIn.
Are you looking in Tech Sales or other tech roles? I can connect you with my company.
Other roles, like event manager, project manager etc.
Salesforce recruiters will not respond to in-mail about a role unfortunately. Do you know anyone at Salesforce who can refer you? Or, I would reach out to RVP’s or others in a similar role and say you are interested in a role and would like to pick their brain. Most people at Salesforce are hired through a referral.
I actually do have a referral. Ive applied through the referral link to 3 positions .
I'm having the same problem. And not even so much as an interview when applying for jobs, both in my field where I have 10 years experience, and in the career I'm trying to transition into. Good luck.
These recruiters/companies have hundreds of people applying to single positions. And their recruiters likely don't have the time to respond to all the people who are reaching out to them on LinkedIn. Maybe you should consider other companies. Or be creative in your messages to stand out.
Thank you! I tried & completely understand. However, I was speaking to a recruiter for one position because I applied to late but she “didnt want to lose me” thats why she called and since then I have messaged her saying Ive applied to a different position and she just told me shes not the recruiter for those positions.
Those companies get sooooo many applicants that it’s tough to get an “in” without being referred to by someone that currently works/has worked there. I work for Okta (tech company). Feel free to reach out and we can chat and see if there’s any open positions you’d be interested in.
Very nice of you, seriously !
