How do I get started as a WAF professional?

What certifications should I study for and what specific work experience is needed? Can I get a small gig and work my way up just with certifications alone?

See if there are some courses general Udemy or General Assembly and definitely focus on some more reasonable first tries. Also I would focus on one like Azure Security first.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get started with just certifications, especially if you present yourself well. I feel like 90% of securing a good opportunity is about how you carry yourself

I do have a background in IT. I’ve been working in the industry for almost 10 years. What salary range is possible with only WAF certifications but no specific work experience in WAF?

Is any of your previous experience relevant? Otherwise, it seems like you might be starting at the beginning again and working your way up.

There's really no other way to do it than to get a job and work your way up so you've got to find a way into an initial job that would work best. Do you have any relevant experience that you can really highlight on your resume?

I have some experience with the security aspects of the CRM I have been working with. What would be a starting salary of a WAF professional with certifications and maybe 1-2 years of non-WAF security experience?

I interviewed with an ECD mid-last week and immediately after got some bad news that completely derailed the rest of my week. Because of that, I never even thought about sending a thank you email, but I’m now realizing that probably looks bad. Any tips on how to deal with this?

My overdue promotion (PM to Sr PM) is in progress, but processing is taking a while due to company Covid delays. Is it inappropriate to ask my manager what the salary increase will be? (It’s killing me to wait and wonder if it’s lower than I’m expecting)

Got laid off. Now what?

I'm a first year atty. I make $45K at a small firm of 5. In the last three weeks, my assistant has been fired (caught with pot on break), another paralegal quit, and now another assistant has resigned. I have a caseload of 80, with no help. Boss says they are looking, they made an offer, but if that person accepts, it will be weeks before they are ready. I'm falling apart and crying at my desk and can't sleep. Told owner. "Hang in there." Do I walk now? Or hang in there?

What is the best lesson plan template you have used? I need something quick but detailed to use weekly.

Decided that I’m leaving audit today. Trying to understand the full range of opportunities in forensics. Will have my CPA and CFE. So far, I understand that there are client-serving firms like FTI and then the B4 will have forensics arms as well. What are some other forensic accounting roles? Pros and cons? Better than audit? Honestly just looking to learn anything.
