How do I politely ask for what was a verbal warning "improve or we take next steps" in writing?

The fdbk I received all seems directly tied to my emotional dysregulation that I am just putting a name to let alone not knowing how to fix it (because if I knew that it wouldn't be a problem).

So I want my mgrs to put it in writing and how exactly they plan to measure it (other than they will "hear" it from ppl).... Cuz internally I can't separate what I'm feeling from what I think they're saying

I would ask them for specific behaviors they are not ok with, examples of the negative impact of those behaviors and/or how they violate company policy, suggestions for alternative behaviors, and a timeframe within which they expect improvement.

Yeah this is my advice as well. Ask for specific examples of conduct or behavior that they find inappropriate/bad and why plus suggestions for ways you can improve. Timeframe is the best one, getting that in writing should protect you a little bit as long as you feel like you can improve.

Does management know about your diagnosis? I know it's technically none of their business, but in this case, it sounds like you could benefit from some accommodations, at least until you navigate this latest development. You can certainly ask them to put their warning in writing, but I'd be more interested in having them spell out a specific plan of action as well as expectations and a time line. Everyone should be clear and on the same page for this. And yes, I'd totally let them know the reasons why you're struggling. They can't work with you if they don't know.

Yes they know but our HR is an external service and I don't have anything on file with them

I would just send an email and be honest and trasnparent. Its better to just be direct and ask for what you are needing rather than trying to beat around the bush. Just ask them to put what you talked about in an email to you so that you can continue to wrok on it.

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

My offer for a condo (in a building with ~40 units) has just been accepted. This is my 2nd rental property and my 1st is a condo within a two-family condo/house.
Few questions:
1. What are the watch-outs in owning a condo in multi-family mid-rise? I’m already aware of high HOA
2. It was manageable with the 1st property but I’m worried about managing the 2nd. My work is usually busy and I’m thinking of hiring someone to manage both properties. Any pros and cons?

Finally found a provider who listens and is helping me get ADHD controlled. Also diagnosed me w/anxiety. Treating w/Adderall and Wellbutrin, but she's telehealth so can't prescribe anymore. Was transfering Rx to my PCP under her guidance but my BP was high at my yearly (was a particularly stressful day at work, BP was normal the last 3 years). PCP won't coordinate care until I see a cardio. Anxious something will be wrong and I can't be treated for ADHD anymore 😩 anyone else here w/high BP?

So glad I found this group! I’ve hopped through 3 jobs since graduating 2 years ago. They all start out great- I ace interviews, flourish creatively, and get super positive feedback from managers. Few months in, my interest begins to wane. Productivity dies off, and engagement in my work falls of the cliff. Hi all! Newly diagnosed last month. Started Adderall and was only able to fill one 2 week prescription before it became impossible to get I my area of Tampa, FL. Dr switched me to Ritalin but I don't have much of a benefit from it at all compared to Adderall.

Pharmacies are saying it may be another couple of months before they expect adderall to be back. Anyone else having this issue? Was on Adderall 10mg twice daily. Now on Ritalin 10mg twice daily. I just don't have the same level of focus!

ADHD medication with high Blood Pressure?

I found ADHD meds helpful when I worked in consulting in my 20s. I stopped the meds when I went back to school. Also have had High BP since late 20s. 15 years away, I am back in consulting and loving it, however my difficulties juggling so many projects/tasks is holding me back. I know I would benifit from some ADHD medication but my Dr won’t prescribe any with my history of BP (controlled with BP meds). Anyone else gone through this? Any tips?

Does ADHD have a big impact on your memory? It feels like if I don't have constant reminders set or leave notes for myself I can forget ANYTHING even if it's really important to me. I think it's making my partner feel like I don't remember the things they say or don't care to listen. What can I do?? Not on medication but if it helps with this I'd take it.

The sad thing is I only take my vyvanse when I have to apply for jobs, works so easy that it’s embarrassing.

Got so frustrated by being judged by recruiters that I stayed up for a whole week, and started building a framework that will eliminate their job.

The future of applications with be primary data focused, Candidates will just be a dot on a scatter plot… put in the hard work and be rewarded.

We ADHDers will no longer be judged for having a diverse amount of experience.

Whew this group is a relief to find. No one at my job knows I have ADHD, and I only have one other friend with it. I manage a team of people and the stress of checking, double checking, and triple-checking everything to make sure I'm not forgetting anything or behind on anything is insane. I've kind of got the hang of keeping focus during work hours, but I'm just constantly on edge that someone will notice or I'll start falling behind.
