Hi Fishes, I got a call from Infosys HR stating that I'm selected and I would receive offer in 10 days. It's been around 12 days now, yet to receive the offer. HR's not picking the calls too. Any ideas, has anyone undergone the same situation. Please help. Infosys Infosys Limited Infosys Consulting

Does your manager have a manager or second-in-command? That’s who you should be going to for work matters when they’re OOO. You could cc your manager when you send your resignation letter/email. (I would only do this if you don’t care about maintaining a relationship with your manager though, otherwise I would wait.)
Both my manager and their manager is on vacation. I am pretty sure higher up mgmt is also out. I know the timing sucks, but it is what it is.. I just want to make sure i can ask Jan 31 to be my last day.
So depends on your relationship with your boss. Is he/she a generally nice person? Try to see if you can get ahold of them on the phone and let them know ur intentions then ask who they would like you to coordinate with to submit the resignation etc etc.. Is ur boss a jerk? Call HR give them your intentions, they will ask you to provide an email or written notice and CC your manager on the message. Best of luck!
My boss is not very nice which is why I am leaving, to be honest..
Why put in your resignation now? Collect your bonus and bounce
As long as you’re comfortable with the signing bonus and you truly don’t think you can wait just send an email to your manager copying your HR partner and say you’re resigning and giving whatever your required notice is. You’ve accepted another role and your last day will be whatever and that you’re available to speak should they have any further questions.
Suggest getting on the phone. If you value and respect your managers - it shows them you cared and didn’t just send an email
Depending on your relationship - can you shoot a text and ask for a quick chat?
Just do it the first day you come back January 3rd. Let people enjoy their holiday at this point. Nobody is thinking about work right now. Save the stress of finding your replacement for next year.
I just want to make sure my last day is Jan 31. I have 30 day notice period. If I wait til Jan 3rd, is it still fine to ask to have the final day as Jan 31?
Is this for back office ?
Yeah
I'm sure it's for back office
Will you be taking vacation, too? If so just until after New Year’s.
I will always send an email as written proof. Your manager will not be happy regardless..but ask if you talk with them for few minutes before sending it out- the opportunity presented unexpected and you have to give your answers by end of xyz date..don’t feel bad
I would say it depends on if you are planning on leaving within one month. If your desired last day is longer than a month after your Manager returns I would wait until they return. Otherwise, I would see if your Manager’s Manager is available.
This is my main concern. I just want to make sure my last day is Jan 31. I have 30 day notice period. If I wait til Jan 3rd, is it still fine to ask to have the final day as Jan 31? I don’t want to ruin my prospects of coming back to this firm in future
Just call HR…
Email HR, my manager is doing that to our VP who is on vacation
Email will suffice!
I just called. I didn't even send an email or inform HR but the partner passed the info along.
Last year I resigned by setting up a quick 5 mins call with my manager’s manager, while my manager was on vacay
Give it to HR
So what did you end up doing?
