HOW do I stop caring so much about this job? I’ve been handed a non-billable project to manage and complete on an absolutely impossible timeline. I can’t stop thinking about how disappointed everyone will be when I can’t deliver and satisfy their ridiculous expectations. Maybe I’m having a bad day, but this is the closest I’ve been to quitting on the spot.

Career advice that I give to the people I manage- do one more thing everyday that you weren’t going to do or didn’t feel like doing- for your team or for your client. Could be notes, a follow up, a reminder, raising your hand to tackle and drive something-whatever. That little extra effort against something you didn’t “have” to do, every day, overtime will make you invaluable

I have been assigned a project where basically I have to do is data migration.
There is data in some on premise and you do some configuration changes and bring it on to cloud ( S3 ). And later on you check file count and for redundant data.
I don't see much dev here.
I am not how it's gonna affect my career. Pls suggest me what should I do.

I joined as a fresher in tcs...now its 2.9 yrs ....first my mindset was just to focus on learning ....and i worked very hard here ....over worked as per expectations......still unfortunately ....i got a very toxic manager .....who just for ownself did politics and gave me c band and he even gone too much personal to me in that extent......i got released from that project.....from that day i just lost all the motivation to work here in tcs.......lost all thirst to work here

1. Is it wise to take 2 plans of term insurance one with return of 60 years and another without return of 80 years of each 1cr.

My official title in my previous company was Engineer for four years but 3 years of that, I was doing more on the project management role. How should I write this on my resume? Should I put one PM and one Engineer role even though my official title is only Engineer? I'm leaning towards looking for PM job.

I’m currently a third year in my small firm’s life sciences team. I’m not really stimulated by the work and although they say they have a lot of work, they’re not good at managing workload. I haven’t had much work on my plate even after asking many times for more than six months. I’m ready to move to a larger law firm. However, I am concerned how I’ll manage the workload as a mom to a toddler. The good thing about my firm is that they’re flexible with hours. Anyone have experience balancing?

Do you need to be friends with partners to make partner yourself?

If you don’t have 8 hours of billable time a day, do you leave as is or do you fill in the gap with non-billable work? While I am in the office, I don’t always get the billable amount since I don’t have enough work. Seems like a waste of time to enter non-billable time just to fill in the gap but I also don’t want them to think I am not there and slacking off.

What’s the norm?
