Try to get to the root cause of your snacking. Are you actually snacking because you're hungry or because you're bored, sad, stressed, etc.?

D1, I'm no expert when it comes to psych, but try to get more in touch with your hunger signals and overall emotions.
For example, don't eat while on your phone or watching TV to get a better feeling for what satiety feels like. And if you feel like snacking, sit the snack out, go away for 20 mins, and decide if you're actually eating it from a place of hunger or emotion. These are just some of the tips I've heard of the years.
If you're looking for more of a program, Maggie Sterling runs a program called Vibe Club. I'm not a member but I've been following her work for years and she really focuses on developing tools, skills, and your mind.
Fruits/veggies. I know this is basic, and I was a skeptic, but I found that grapes are satisfying for a sweet tooth and fidgeting/fixations and broccoli is the best steamed veggie for a quick desk snack.
Don't be afraid to do the abnormal - everyone will tell you nuts, dried fruit, bagged snacks - find your motivation for snacking and find something to fit that need.
Do you like chewing most? Get gum
Do you like fidgeting most? Pick up a fidget toy or a hobby with your hands
Are you eating enough at your meals? Do you actually stop snacking when full? I don’t think more filling snacks would help if you don’t stop when full anyway
If you just want to taste something and aren’t truly hungry, I’d try herbal tea! There are some really delicious flavors. Also went through a phase of eating probiotic gummy vitamins at bedtime (they were delicious and it was safe to eat 10 per day)
Or you might realize you aren’t satiated from your meals during the day-might be good to asses your protein intake!
They were generic target brand, up&up probiotic gummies
Whenever you feel hungry or like you want to snack, chug as much water as you can.
Drink a sparkling ice then brush your teeth. Works every time!
Almonds
Buy no snacks
I am not partial as to what I snack on. Lol. 🥲
I was just about to ask - how do I balance a calorie deficit and the will to live? #snacksfordays

For me, my snacking was out of control at night while working late or watching TV so I started intermittent fasting which requires you fast 12-16hrs a day so my last meal or snack is at 7pm and I don’t eat again until the morning. It took willpower but it worked! I don’t snack at night anymore and I lost a lot weight.
Generally two things will make you feel fuller for longer: protein and volume. I’d look at both your meals and your snacks and see if there’s a way to up one or both of those without upping total calories (assuming you’re worried about your weight). Hard boiled eggs, vegetables, lean proteins (chicken, tofu), water, tea, and plain popcorn are always good. If you are craving something specific (e.g. salt on a day you worked out) then a snack is reasonable, just premeasure your portions.
Yes to also maintaining weight, so this is good info! Ty.
Weirdly when I lived alone I did this allllll the time. Since moving in with my partner I’ve stopped naturally. I kinda realized it wasn’t because I was truly hungry, but more for comfort, or it was emotional, or I just did it out of boredom.
But as a snack that is low cal: skinny girl popcorn was my go to! Mix in a few chocolate covered almonds (skinny dipped) if you have a sweet tooth

Try roasted vegetables...I think they are relatively healthy and tasty
Don’t eat. Just change the habits
