Who is asking for this stuff from a senior consultant?
No they shouldn't be able to get GPA, ACT scores without you releasing it.
Honestly if they're asking on an online resume, they'll probably screen you out with out something else really working in your favor (referral, other scores, work experience).
Your compelling reason should be the truth. Did you struggle because you had a job? Personal issues? Medical issues? First generation without support?
I haven’t included my GPA in my resume since job hunting straight out of undergrad.
Frankly, GPA tells a different story than standardized test scores. The former explains work ethic and perseverance, while test scores explain aptitude/capability (obviously this is simplified). Your work history should compensate for a low GPA and may even be a discussion point. I had a poor GPA in undergrad and had to explain it for grad school. Ultimately, they appreciated that I had gone through failure and grown from it. Also, is your major gpa better?
