How do I tell someone they're underperforming?

They're both new in the role, very open and adaptable to change - lovely people. The issue is that they take a while to do something that shouldn't be taking so long, and are holding the team up. This often results in me having to jump on the tools more often than not now to deliver the work on time.

Don't email them. Talk in person (whatever that means for your company right now).

Set up a conversation to discuss how things are going in their new role.

Ask them how it's going and listen to their responses. They might give you the reason without having to dig for it.

Let them know what's going well. What you like about their performance. But then also express your concern (in a is-there-anything-i-can-do-to-help sort of way).

They might have to much on their plate.
Maybe there are health issues. Personal problems.
Maybe they're putting too much pressure on themselves to make sure everything is "just right"
Maybe they're just slow.

If you're kind and you care and you approach the conversation with a desire to help them, it probably won't be quite as awkward as you fear.

That's no guarantee. It takes two to have a good conversation. But then, if they react negatively, that says a lot about them. So, you learn something either way.

It’s probably because they’re burned out. We are going through a historic pandemic.

I wanted to get advice on something. I recently got an offer to join The Smart Cube as an Analyst in their Procurement Strategy Team and wanted to understand if this would be a good role to gain skills to later get into MBB firms as a front-end consultant.

It would be helpful to get your insights on this, thank you!

Job openings for python

Anyone has idea about IAM/ PAM practice at KPMG. A recruiter reached out for a manager role. Currently a 3rd year SC at D.

Usually I get asked about job referrals at Freshworks. Here's how it works. When an opening has lot of applicants and when we refer a person they are placed earlier in the queue for screening round. However the interviews and selection criterias are purely unbiased. All applicants are evaluated or shortlisted the same way.

Hey recruiters and professionals, I set up a coffee chat with a colleague on the FP&A team at my company for later this week. These are the topics I plan to cover: their journey to the company, challenges the team is facing/what a junior analyst would face, what skills I should be working on, and who I should be connecting with to land a role on the team. Question to the audience, what specific questions should I be asking to get a better understanding of the team/make a good first impression?

Recruiting just let me know they will NOT be sending me to the the hiring committee but want to stay in touch about other potential roles. Is this what they tell everyone?

What’s the realistic salary expectations post-pandemic for an experiential producer with 5+ years of experience and 8+ years of managerial experience (in multiple fields)?? Is everyone seeing a rise in lower paying jobs and starter roles?? Im in a role equivalent to my entry level college role which was almost 8 years ago.

A couple questions for the turnaround consulting fishes:
1. Is FP&A experience valuable for restructuring/turnaround consulting? I’m a CPA with experience in Big 4 FDD and a short stint in IB. Total work experience is a little over 2 years. I recently joined a RE company as a Sr FA in FP&A where I expect that I’ll be mostly doing budgeting & forecasting work.
2. If my goal is turnaround consulting, what should I focus on right now to best position myself?

I appreciate any insights/guidance.

I have an opportunity to take a Senior role at a firm just smaller than Big 4 from a regional firm. This will be my 3rd job change in 6 years. So changing firms roughly every 2 years. The thing is… I am consistently getting huge pay increases. First change I went up 17%, the second was 30% if you just look at base or 16% if you include annual bonus. I am yet again looking at a 12% increase. But fear staying a Senior forever if this keeps up, what are thoughts on job hopping like this?

FX & Treasury Sales Job at a bank in India

I work at an US bank in a middle office role in India but I’m not liking it much because it’s process oriented. Now I’m getting an offer from an Indian based bank for the Treasury and FX sales role but I’m so confused about the job security and targets. My questions are below:

1) Will I be asked to work for 12 hours?
2) Will I be given targets and if I don’t meet it, will I be fired or something?
