How do I work 55-60 hour weeks and have 50 percent utilization?

Being asked to come onto a "Deloitte Insights" internal project that isn't billable, but counts for utilization. Building demo analytical solutions we can pitch to customers. Is there a catch?

Have any respiratory therapists found jobs OTHER than being a clinical RT? I want to possibly change careers, but I am finding that a lot of jobs (clinical liason, utilization review, etc) want you to have a nursing degree, not a respiratory degree. I feel like as an RT we are limited to jobs.

In developing a new PM department within a small Pharma company a colleague and I are trying to determine the best PM software/program to utilize. For reference we are steering away from MS Project and currently looking into Smartsheets. Does anyone have any other recommendations for a program they found useful? We want to have a dashboard that collates information from cross functional teams but, that can simultaneously be utilized for the individual teams. Tracking milestones, risks,budget...

Received ECT AD in ops at BCG. I have two questions:
1. Is it difficult for these roles to get utilization/billability targets?
2. If I work for say 3-5 years, opportunity for good industry exits?

I wish admin utilized Tier 1 supports with teachers. Smiles, appreciations and acknowledging ones efforts would do a great deal to boost morale and climate. I just don’t understand what that is so hard to do.

How is utilization calculated?

Hadn’t noticed this sub before, and most of the threads are old so thought I’d ask a follow up - how has everyone been handling parenting with public accounting? I’ve got a toddler and my wife is an accountant (industry), and we only have a few immediate family in the country- but they have health concerns. Busy season was rough, things are looking better now as things return to normal. Still working crazy hours if you count the daycare duties on top of utilization targets.

No, it’s not you. Even for essentials, I step out of my house with a visceral fear and a discomfort that I both can and cannot explain. I struggle to imagine how I’m going to explain these feelings and these experiences to my children as they grow older. But if this fear is what some people were looking to evoke, they’ve succeeded. I’m scared. I’m afraid to drive at night, or drive alone, or take walks at night, and then I have to come in and work at 100% like everything is just OK.
