You won't rate 2 just because of the CPA
I haven't passed a section yet, got a 3 and got promoted. Sounds like your counselor doesn't want to tell you why you got a two and made the cpa exam an excuse
A PIP isn't moving service lines. Your counselor sounds like shit. Or a liar. Or both?
2 rating is an indicator that you will be laid off. Be proactive and find a new job. Don't listen to what your counselor says off the record. The whole point of the ratings system is to cover their ass when they want to fire someone.
Yeah I've mostly only heard of low performers getting the cut this year. If you're 3+ don't worry too much about it
Some people just can't fathom that PA is going through layoffs. Why? I do not know.
EY3 - you need to talk with someone other than your counselor.
There are no payoffs. Every organization tries to get rid of people not performing, nothing unique to EY
I know someone who got a 4 with no CPA.
^you said you have low utilization. How many sections do you have passed? Do people see you in the office studying when your not working on engagements?
Well as far as I'm concerned my ratings are good. So speculate if you will. I'm just thankful I can wear jeans everyday to work. That's what really matters.
I heard that southeast had some layoffs starting in December and they’re getting more aggressive in other regions across any line/sub-service line that isn’t growing Y2Y or that is but not even close to 2020 plan goals (you’d think that at some point EY would update the plan to make it more realistic)
Seniors are telling me it's mostly staff 2s/seniors who are at getting the cut...but still not sure what's going on. Anybody hear things through the grapevine?
I'm a staff 2 and was rated a 2 because of not having my CPA completed. Good ratings didn't seem to help in my case.
Well that is what my counselor informed me of. My utilization was low... however everyone in my office is at the same level.
There's no way not having your CPA is making you a 2...... also utilization does not mean anything unless you are at either end of the extremes
Hahahah I promise you guys. I don't have a single bad rating in MDS. Don't believe me if you all want... but that is what I have been told.
2 is a bad rating. My senior (S3) didn't get a 2 and doesn't have CPA yet. I would check the framework and see how you stack up against it especially in quality and operations.
I was told specifically by my counselor that was the reason. I asked what my performance plan was if my ratings are good.... and I was told moving service lines was what my PIP would be.
You can get a 5 with no CPA. Living proof
