Came across my friend’s (I think first ever) poetry slam performance and wanted to share with you all (also in the Asians in C bowl):
Any advice for an experienced HR professional with SHRM-SCP? I was downsized from my last job as a VP of Admin wanted to go with Coordinator/Assistant structure. Been in HR for nearly 20 years with mostly generalist experience. Managed a function and/or people for most of that time. Senior level in my experience, but definitely not executive level. (Limited budgeting and PM experience.) Having a horrible time finding a new role! Getting a lot of interviews but no offers and getting discouraged.
I just got my last pay check from Accenture and left within a year. How long is it going to take for them to come for my signing bonus…

What does your family think about what you do? I'm a grant management specialist which they get, but I work with/for NOAA which they don't really get. My nieces and nephews think I do paperwork or work in the ocean depending on what they overhear from their parents.
Does anyone here hold a non-CFA designation (CFP, CAIA, FRM etc.) and what kind of role/position do you have?
2017 grad so technically a 4th year. Lateraled to a CRE boutique in NYC that’s a major player. Learned quickly that my experience/knowledge/organization is not up to par (was a COG in the machine at prior firm). Just had EOY review and, though positive sounding, they’re dropping me to a 3rd year to ensure I’m not billing as a 4th year and able to do the work to learn/get up to par. I feel pretty okay about it (market salary deduction notwithstanding), but want to make sure I’m not being naive.
Just finished this bench with my girlfriend. Started with an idea and managed to come through! Really pleased with the result. Still need to add some artwork/ plants for above. Any suggestions?
Partners, how do you take the guess work out of YoY sales + revenue growth to the firm? How do you drive a book of business consistently? What keeps you sharp? How do you elevate yourself to C-Suite?
What is the procedure to follow when you find a new job and have to quit your current job? I know this seems obvious, but I don’t want to burn any bridges with my current employer.
