Man, "What? I'm in a meeting?"
Woman, "Did you leave the refrigerator door open again?"
Man, "I can't right now I'm in a meeting, can you close it"
Woman, "Please, make sure it's shut, how many times do I have to tell you. My breast milk is in there, I'm already taking care of one child I don't need another. I'm not your mother!"
Planner,"Hey man, we wanted to tell you but I guess you couldn't hear us. Your camera was off but you weren't on mute.'
FLEXIBILITY and understanding. I know for me, my team is very understanding of doctor appointments, daycare pickup and drop off times, etc. They try to schedule all meetings with me (outside of client calls) before 5pm and that has helped tremendously with making sure that the time after is protected time for me and the kids. They understand that if something had to get done, I’ll get it done whether that’s me logging back on after the kids bedtime instead of between the 5-8 window of the kids being home. Made a huge difference for me and my family! They also legitimately care about my family’s well being by asking how they are (and remembering their names).
In addition, WFH was also the biggest consideration that I looked into.
I've known multiple moms that only worked on sell-sides
Is sell sides wlb better than buy side in general? What about comp?

Flexibility and keeping a consistent team. Its easier to keep boundaries and understand how a team works if it’s the same team working together
What if a working parent wants to be involved in deal work and engaged/stimulated working on deals but only work 9-5ish and no weekends?

Think that’s impossible I tell my manager I want to get off 5/530-730/8 and only work through that time if we are pushing to send something out that night
