How do people define digital transformation? I know it’s quite broad, so what would be some of the major initiatives within a transformation, and what are the related work streams.

C2 that's digital enablement but not digital transformation.

Digital transformation includes a fundamental altering of how the company or their product/service works that was enabled by digital technology. So if they move from handwritten tables to excel tables or from physical to digital reporting or communication, that's not transformation. That's digital enablement.

If they started an app for the individuals they help to rank the services they need most, that's transformation.

If they used a website to connect people who have with people who need and removed themselves from slowing it down as middlemen, that's transformation.

If they realized they were more effective as digital fundraisers than other charities, stopped helping directly and starting raising massive fund rounds through public campaigns that they donated to other local charities *and it was possible because of digital technology* then that's ABSOLUTELY digital transformation.
