What kind of roles pay 200-300k?
Hi Everyone,
I just received an offer to work as an software sales representative (SDR) for IBMs Z systems. I'm coming as a sales engineer in the cloud security space. Can anyone advise me on whether Z systems are something worth going into? Also what do the growth opportunities look like at IBM? Is there opportunity for lateral movement onto other teams? Not too sure how I feel about working on mainframes (Z systems) but they keep pitching hybrid cloud to me. IBM

My team at my last company had a central calendar (department events + PTO), and now that I manage a team at my new company, I have everyone send a “free” calendar invitation to the team when they have PTO. It’s so much easier with regards to knowing when to schedule stuff when you have that versus a central document to check.
Honestly a calendar makes it soooo much easier. Been doing it that way for years.
Love a shared OOO calendar. It makes it so much easier to schedule meetings.

I use a PTO calendar on my project
I think a shared calendar actually reduces stress in the long run. Everyone can see everything all the time, all at the same time and everyone can request PTO or meeting times without the confusion and 1000 emails.

Shared calendar
Voting for a shared calendar as well. it adds accountability for each team member since the information is up and available. It even sends notifications 10-15 mins. early before a scheduled event. It's been helpful to me.
Agree on shared calendars - makes it much easier to keep track of, and I think it's a more efficient system personally. We're currently doing it all on Excel and I HATE it. My old place had a shared calendar and it was much better.
