How do people manage to not get bored and start looking for other opportunities? I feel like after 18 months - 2 years, I start feeling like I need something new, lose focus, and start looking elsewhere.

Same thing man, getting hella bored out here. It also the challenge, I feel like I am becoming a ppt money, and the exciting brainstorming sessions are far and few

I feel like if you get staffed on projects different enough it doesn’t feel as bad

But before consulting I couldn’t do it

like

Personally don't think that's a super bad thing. Might be just the way you need to operate. Two years doesn't look bad on a resume, so if you can swing it financially who cares.

That’s consulting. Join a company. Carve a path. Own real results.

Can you clarify what you mean? Can’t tell if you’re advocating for or against consulting.

Once I finally found a company with great culture and WLB, I was able to avoid those feelings.

All helpful, glad that I’m not the only one. I’m still very early into my career and worry if maybe I’m just not giving jobs a fair chance / sticking with them long enough.

I struggle with this as well. I find that making sure I have a good work life balance and doing more exciting things outside of work keep my life fresh and exciting.

I changed companies or projects every 6 mos-2 years my whole career. My latest company I’ve been running for almost a decade but it has been really varied. I buy/sell businesses and work with a variety of projects and companies. I delegate or sell off projects when I get bored.

I am currently working as an Analyst in HCL Technologies BSERV which is considered as a BPO. I received a promotion to a new job post Sr. Associate-WPC. Is anyone on a low dose of Adderall or a similar stimulant, and do you find it helpful/effective?

When I was diagnosed (at 20 yo) I started on Adderall XR and my psychiatrist essentially took a “keep upping the dose until you feel side effects” approach, even though I still saw some benefits at a lower dose. I’m currently unmedicated and am somewhat hesitant to restart, but feel I could see some benefit and better stability with the help of medication.

I'm cutting back to my usual dose of D3 because I think the higher COVID dose is disrupting my sleep, but how else do you recommend shut down your mind when your ADHD mind won't turn off work.
