How do people usually transition/pivot up to different industry? I work in product management in automotive industry(most recent) but had big data and banking exp previously. I’m looking to switch to more leadership role(director) but in a diff industry, i am curious if being in a diff industry and transitioning to a more director/managerial role at the same time would be problematic?

2nd yr lit associate at SF Big Law. I'm considering a move to a L&E firm (e.g., Littler, JL, FP) as my current firm isn't giving me enough of the type of work I would like. There just does not seem to be enough L&E work to go around, and I find myself doing a lot of work in an area (construction) that doesn't lend itself to a ton opportunities outside of a law firm/Big Law firm.
Is this foolish? Anyone else made this move? If the lifestyle just as bad, but with less pay? Any other thoughts?

How serious is this type of discrepancy?

They also are unsuccessful in reaching my previous employer. Company was bought by one of the giants after I was gone so not sure how successful they will be in getting a hold of my record. That seems to be the last item in my background check.

Pro-tip: Do a search for the word “lead” in your resume. Make sure you didn’t mean “led”.

I currently work in SaaS, and I recently got proposed a Customer Success Manager position there. I was initially looking for an Account Executive position, but I was afraid to be a bit bored, and not to be able to express my creativity enough in this position. From what I was explained, CSM would allow me to work in between several departments and to be very free.
In your opinion, should I wait for an AE role or are learning and growth opportunities bigger as a CSM ?

I passed the hiring committee review for a position at Google and the next step is the matching process (it was a general role, but industry hire). But the Recruiter has basically ghosted me for a month now. This whole process has taken SO long. Any suggestions on how to navigate it and do my own part in finding a team/matching/moving along my process?
