I’ve got 5 business days left with the firm and I worked til midnight yesterday and the day before. Really trying to not burn bridges here but, kinda mentally checked out at this point. Signed off today at like 1pm lol. For reference we have plenty of people on the bench that could easily take my roll but director thought against that and would rather someone step in for me after I leave
Yeah at this point screw the bridge, I’m working on what I can get to, and the rest will become someone else’s problem
Last week, they made me work. Had to transition clients over to coworkers.
I put my two weeks in right at the transition into planning. So mostly BS work with BS internal deadlines. Took a 2 week vacation too. So I didn’t do anything haha.
I think it really depends on the team and what is on your plate. If you have started on an area I know the team wants you to finish it so someone else doesn’t come in and redo the work you did and goes over budget. If you are working on a bunch of different areas they will want you will be slammed the last two weeks. If you were focusing on one or two areas it won’t be too bad.
My team didn’t even reach out for the two weeks. I think they knew I was burnt out but at the same time no one talked to me at all..
