Hey Fishes, Is ServiceNow offering full time remote option to new joiners? Anyone recently joined, how is the experience? ServiceNow
A lot of my close friends in Tech are SWEs and are making ~400-500k / year. I am in Consulting and make ~160k/yr. I know this is already a lot and I am super privileged, but I still struggle with comparison. I have no interest in being a SWE but I still struggle with the lesser money I make. How do I deal with this apart from aspiring for higher paid professions?
Company : Hey take this money and buy an office chair, table ,extra monitors, accessories to setup your home office. Me : Hey! Thanks. Company : Are you now comfortable working from home and feel productive ? Me : Yeah. Company: Awesome! Now come back to your base location and spend majority of your time working from a rented place where you will miss both Working from home and working from office.
Can anyone refer me for a role in Big Pharma outside of a Clinical Trial Manager role. I’m looking to take a step out of this sector. I have PM experience with clinical trials and have some line manager experience. Ideally looking for something that would be remote but would consider an office /hybrid role depending on company location. Feel free to message me to further discuss.
How has everyone met their partners here? Tinder/Grindr etc are total meat markets and I haven’t had much success besides getting laid. I moved 1500 miles away in March and I switched jobs in August (fully remote still). I’m having a really hard time meeting high quality guys and it’s really getting to me. Does anyone have any advice that doesn’t involve going to a bar? I get really bad social anxiety at times and would prefer to husband shop elsewhere.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE working form home full time. However, I have noticed I feel less relaxed after work and I think it might be because I don't have that time commuting home to listen to audiobooks and decompress. How do you 'leave work at work' when you have a home office?
Which would you pick- boring, mind numbing, unfulfilling job that has great WLB/WFH and high pay or intellectually stimulating/fun/challenging job that has less pay and more hours but with higher ceiling?
Anyone else go back to playing an instrument / pick a new one up with wfh? Even with our schedules, I’m pleased to snatch 10-20 min here or there (for piano). Debating if it’s time to reinvest in a teacher.
Folks who’ve left ClearView, how is life on the other side, and how long did you stay before you jumped ship? It’s a week where I’m burning, and the fact that I feel so isolated during it makes me want to quit consulting altogether. Would also like to talk to some of you if possible. Never thought I’d say this but I honestly feel unhappy in my job, and I wonder if it is just WFH related - and whether it might get better once the office opens up.
Is it unreasonable to ask someone from PT timezone to follow ET hours for 1 month during critical phase of the project? To be specific.. starting 9AM ET. Work day typically gets over at 6p ET or sooner sometimes, and this person makes it such a big deal and makes it sound like they are doing team a favor.
I got the pop up WFH/relationship survey with a very apropos ask below it. Has anyone else noticed a spike is passive/aggressive use of noise canceling headphones from their SO? I suppose it could be a relationship saver in the long run though?
I have a PM II interview with Expedia coming up on Friday; recruiter asked me for a salary range. Should I go with what levels.fyi says? I'm planning to push for remote and I'm based in Texas, should I adjust for cost of living?
Started at a new firm around 8 months ago (going into my 5th year of practice in transactional). I enjoyed it at first because it was new subject matter and large pay bump. But recently the overall morale of the office has deteriorated greatly, remote work is frowned upon and we have one big client that I basically do the same work daily for and I don’t feel like I’m learning anything new and it swings from super busy to dead on the daily. Feeling conflicted if I should…
Remote UR jobs? Love or hate?
I’m a newer registered nurse (2 years) and want to get into remote work. I keep getting denied due to lack of experience but to even get the job I have now (case manager) the company knew one of my family members and they gave me a chance to interview because of that. For these remote companies where I don’t have connections how can I transition over?
Does everyone have childcare, an extra nanny, and housekeeper to be able to work full time and live??? I’m just not seeing how I’ll be able to be an involved and happy mom while still working full time. Is it just the pandemic? I have nothing to compare it to. Please help!! What are people actually doing? I currently login at 7:30 to work for 30 mins, then get kids ready and dropped off for 8:45. Pick up is 3:15. It’s family time until bed at 7. exhausted, and have to fit in work & cleaning
The first break we’ve had from work since WFH-life began in March is a great time to reflect on everything that’s happened recently. Looking back, how would you describe your experience as a professional during Covid-19? What’s changed for you the most? What’s surprised you?
Does Optum give Internet reimbursement in WFH ? How long did this WFH will continue as cases are again rising ?
Beyond 2 lines the text in each post card is cut off. I wonder how many lines in the comment section?

Where is a new build???
Hot take: consultants at MBB have big egos and seem to promote the idea that they're the "best of the best" not realizing that, in 2021, the "best of the best" works in "tech" typically as engineers and consultants are actually just overworked also rans with oversized egos.

Coming home to your cyber Monday purchases and wine of the month, and grubhub is 5 min away 😍😍😍😍
I (22M) just got glasses for the first time today. Originally I just wanted non-prescription blue light filtering but after an exam I realized I needed correction due to an astigmatism in my left eye. Picked up my glasses today and everything up close looks slanted. When I look at the ground I feel nauseous. How often should I be wearing them so my brain can adjust? Should I wait a few days before I wear them when driving? Even typing on my phone right now just looks strange.
Is anyone studying for the GMAT right now? I thought it might be a good idea to get a group going. Mostly to explain/get questions answered by peers
I’m hearing that a recession is undoubtedly going to happen. Will we be impacted as Consultants and if so, to what extent?
Standards for pre check must be dropping or the consumer price index is rising.. The 1% of travel feels like a distant memory
Told my mom my flight is diverted and I'm stranded in a random airport with a coworker and she just asked if he's single...🙄
I've heard talks about a product in competition with SAP, Oracle etc. It's called Infor. Has anyone else heard of it and is it worth looking into?
