I feel this way when I have a lot happening and I’m stressed. I take on more than I should or can realistically do and then kill myself trying to make it happen. I try to recognize the signs early and then delegate. And I also take a hard look at priorities. If we are totally Screwed without a deck- then that is a must. If someone is trying to add to my workload to tack on “nice to have” or “optics" stuff- delegate or put at the bottom of the list
Set some boundaries and communicate them early, so it's not a surprise. The tasks on your list are more than you can accomplish in this time frame. Come up with ideas for how to prioritize them, and suggest this to your manager. Include something about deleterious health consequences if you want. If the answer is going to be 'you need to get all of these done', at least make them say that explicitly, and then you can decide whether it's worth it or time to find a new project/job.
