U can start leaving cute notes for each other or text each other naughty things while in separate rooms.
I’ve been with my guy for 7 years and the romance is kinda non existent. So now I just bust down the door in whatever room he is in and say “U WANT SOME OF THISSSSS PUSSYYYYY?!!!"
Noooo! I hear you and understand. The conversations do change when you live together but it can still be fun. I’ve done a few things:
1. When are getting ready to go out, I do some of my getting ready (make up, etc) in front of him. Sometimes I intentionally move a little slower and tell him to wait in the living room and then finished getting dressed and strut out before we leave... silly but fun
2. Instead of talking groceries we think of meals we can make together and what would be fun to do together... so less about the groceries and more about the “I’ve been dying to try...”
3. Maybe also a few days a week work in a different location like a coffee shop or something (whether together or solo)
These are things that just cropped up at first thought
Make a rule: no practical house talk at dinner. Talk about books, things you read today, current events, cool trips to take.... there are soooo many more interesting things to talk about!!! Lol
@A1 LOL!! I’ve tried something similar and he goes “babe I’m working..” and it gets weird 🤷🏻♀️
Even when we make and eat dinner at home we try not to have the practical convos (unless we have to). We also listen to funny podcasts during dinner at home or music and each play dj during the meal
And we talk about like, how we need to buy groceries soon and whatever at dinner. IS THE ROMANCE DEAD?!? 😩
I would try and create separate work spaces if possible so you aren’t next to each other all day every day...or set regular gym classes for yourself or something else to structure consistent time apart. That way you can still have the “how was your day?” convos when you come home and be excited to reconnect after time apart.
Awww that’s happened to me too. Just be persistent lol
Hang in there. I think the longer ur together, it just a little bit more to go out of the box and keep the spark
@BCG1 Totally agree!! I need to enforce that rule. I thought it would be weird if I did so it’s validating that others are doing it too!
I think a mini book club is a great idea!
@BCG1 I like that, thank you! As far as groceries - I meant we talk about chores and other shit we have to do, haha. I’m def going to start heading to a coffee shop though, good point
@BCG1 we play DJ too! Will have to try the podcast thing. Maybe we should start our own book club lol
@A2 good point! Thank you :)
