I know I put ‘lol’ but this actually makes me sad.
“Lol” let me know if you figure it out (from someone who moved mid-pandemic to a a city where I know no one)
At times when I’ve needed friends I’ve been aggressively friendly. Text that friend of a friend to get coffee or brunch, and then a few days later follow up with something that you talked about (link to an article, picture of something, etc) and then suggest hanging out again.
Appreciate that advice. Unfortunately I’ve sort of grown apart and lost touch with some of my old friends or we’re no longer in the same area. I’m trying to reconnect with a couple that are still here though!

How far are you from a bigger city? I live in NYC and have met a ton of people through Bumble BFF.

D1 - yes! It’s the same app, but you can switch to BFF mode. It works the same way, except you swipe on girls (some guys too).
A1 - I’ve only started using it about a month ago and have already met around 7 girls. Hang out regularly with 2 of them, and talk to a few of them every couple of days too.
I sat next to a woman at Starbucks and started a conversation and we became great friends. I was outside near another woman at the drs office and after a brief exchanged asked if she wanted to hang out once day. I joined Facebook groups (like moms in MD) and posted that I’d like to make new friends & a few women reached out and we made plans. I used an app called Peanut that’s for moms and made some couple friends. It’s hard and you have to put yourself out there but worth it!!

Yes sure!
Have you tried bumble bff?
When I first moved to a new city, I met a friend on bumble BFF and it just so happened that we have the exact same birthday. I asked her during our first meet up what her zodiac sign was (of course right?!) as we had similar perspectives on different topics we talked about. To this day she is one of my closest friends and we laugh about it when friends ask us how we met (kind of like how friends ask how you and your partner met). Definitely suggest trying it out, you just never know! I’ve heard mixed experiences though, but thought I’d share my experience. It took me some time to make new friends, I’ve also met great friends though work.

OP- where are you located? I’m in DC - somewhat of a similar situation where a lot of my friends left during the pandemic. I second others suggestions about Bumble BFF and reaching out to acquaintances/friends of friends.
