Thoughts on exiting to a FAANG L6 Strategy role or waiting until July for my impending promotion to manager? Do we think I can push the start date out to August?
Manager 1. Transfer from audit into FDD (and have to do one more busy season in audit), or leave to a financial reporting job at a large public co for 40% raise?

Negotiating tips at year-end review for getting an above-average raise? Or do numbers speak for themselves?
How soon is too soon to ask for a raise? I know the raises in this industry are usually pretty standardized, so wanted to hear some insight about this topic. Thanks!
Under what circumstances are you willing to relocate for a job? Have family, kids and pets. Got an offer from a well-known company in industry, but requires relocation. The company pays the relocation. Got 20% raise, similar COL in the new city , but the work itself is not that exciting. The attractive part of this offer is the benefit and the name of the company.
14 months into my first agency job and I’ve been told from my CDs that I’ve been recommended for a raise. What should I ask for? I’m making 58k now and have had a bunch of work produced.
Who still goes to firm happy hours? Raise your hand because I do NOT want to go today and could use convincing otherwise
What's a good percentage range for a raise when going from mid to senior level in the agency world (or RZF specifically)?
I’ve recently accepted an ACI offer from Bain in a main office. What is everyone’s opinion on the outlook of Bain 5/10/20 years out? I occasionally hear remarks BCG and McKinsey are widening the gap and this has me questioning potentially re-recruiting. For context, I love Bain and the culture, but this concern paired with slower promotion is a little unsettling.
Getting ready to sign my contract and raise my right hand for National Guard. I have yet to tell my manager out of fear they try to let me go before I am “officially” in service.
Just started a new job where I’m being trained by two people 1 promotion / 1-2 years of experience above me - both men. I certainly have a lot to learn in this role, but they don’t seem to...
I’d love some help thinking through this. I’m currently renting for $1600 base ($1800 total) and live in the least desirable part of town, and expect it to raise to about $2k/month. I was planning to buy my first property in the city and Airbnb part of it, but it will take me about a year to save up the cash (~$500k starting). Eventual goal is to move more rural but trying to build to FI. I found a property in my ideal dream location for $280k but it needs work, and can’t Airbnb it. Continued
Went from wanting to only focus on my career and not even wanting kids to now wanting to be a SAHM while I raise kids and go back into a more relaxed job. Has anyone else had a crazy shift in thinking like that? Been single this whole time, so no one is influenting this
I received an offer from one of the MBBs (Analyst position - banking benchmarks team). The offer briefly mentions that I'd receive performance bonus, but doesnt mention any range (% bracket). Nor does the compensation structure has any component of Performance Bonus (which is usually a part of TC) Should I ask the recruiter on this? What to do? Thanks in advance!
I will be moving to Montreal in couple of months from Boston. I already have a Scotia credit card with me. Should I start building my credit history by making some purchases here and there. Will it be helpful in any way when I land like rental agreements etc. Any other suggestions.
I have an exploratory call with a recruiter to determine opportunities I’m interested in. It’s a Zoom call. Would you dress up for it?

Interviewing for Accenture and concerned about the background check. I have a few drinking tickets from silly mistakes made in college. How strict is Accenture regarding misdemeanors? Is this an automatic disqualification from consideration? My criminal history is not related to the job responsibilities.

Got an offer of 170K + 10k sign bonus or 180k + zero bonus. Would you guys agree the latter makes more sense? In both cases I’d be subject to salary increase in 2020 and performance bonus.

What's the earliest in someone's tenure you've seen them fired from MBB and why? (Looking for validation that the feeling like I'm doing a sub-par job, but trying to be coachable, 7 months into my job doesn't equate to getting fired in the next 5-17 months...)
