How do you all spend your remaning FSA balance before the end of the year?

SO and I don't wear glasses, already did our flu shots. We also had a baby this year. Any ideas where we could spend the remainder close to 1k? Thank you.

Do your homework on chiropractors. Some are crap, they'll just crack your back and send you on your way. Find one that works with the muscles that support your problem areas.

Everyone in my family got really nice first aid kits for Xmas the year I needed to use up FSA.

But seriously, nice first aid kits for your cars, probably $100-200 right there. Any baby stuff that you still need to buy and can charge to your FSA? I also bought $200 of prenatal vitamins (though I guess you're past that stage now). Some little things to buy that might add up a bit: contactless thermometer, pulse-oximeter, blood pressure monitor.

Thanks for the ideas. We badly need an airpurifier with a baby around. Wondering if that would be fsa eligible. Got to check.

I had this dilemma a few years ago and ordered sun glasses with my balance. Ordered a $300 pair of Persol’s I would’ve never ordered otherwise.

Neither my husband nor I are good with change and when my husband and I went for the ultrasound he nervously asked "she's too sick to eat anything other than her vitamins and water, is it ok for her and the baby to go without?" Our doctor just smiled and replied "don't worry, baby takes" I don't know why but that was so funny to us. It kind of became our mantra as we navigate and move our life around that "baby takes," its made it feel more Us vs Change rather than Me vs Him. Thought I'd share

Friday was complicated. So, I am going to break it down. Nasdaq 100 Futures (NQ) traded to the 9837 level, 32.75 points short of it's 50% HWB short. It then proceeded to sell off like nobody's business to 9846.50, 31.5 points higher than the projected objective for the HWB short. So, if you followed me on the channel, we were positioned for a nice rally at the end of the day. Markets have no memory on Friday afternoon. So, I think we are going up eventually and rally hard.

Always been a fan of FIRE and reading about it has definitely helped my finances but I can’t help but wonder if the movement is more about lifestyle change than early retirement.

After you achieve FI,you basically have to maintain the lifestyle that got you there.

What if you want to go on a lavish vacation or buy that flatscreen TV? Are you supposed to do away with material goods entirely? I suppose you could keep working for discretionary $ and live off interest but then you’re not retired.

Just a thought, perhaps the admin can pin two threads:

1) When / how did you tell your work you were pregnant?
2) Would you change jobs / interview while pregnant?

Both of these questions come up almost on a daily basis, we should have a centralized thread to help each other out. :)

I normally go 4-6 days per week and consider it an outlet, but now seems to add stress.
