Managers/Partners - do you feel it was worth the grind to get where you are today? What kept you focused on the short vs long run comp wise? How do you feel you’re doing compared to coworkers who left along the way? Would you do it over again?
Consulting vets, normal? I was lured into consulting and lost benefits due to the challenging transformation program being right up my alley. I have a multi year contract with heavy director duties promising fast track to Sr leadership. Day 1 I find out Iead no one and the MD is in charge. A few months later I get involved in spending nights and weekends for 3 weeks making a 60+ page deck. Company wins part of the contract and hires 12 more. Since then I have been ignored by them. No bonus!
Signing bonus commitment date is coming up. Should I provide notice to quit now knowing that I’m going to leave after the date passes? I don’t want to hurt the project but I don’t want to screw myself
What is the salary range for an FTI Strategic Communications Consultant (People & Transformation)? Can’t find any comp info on this segment.
Anyone can share insights on what is the average salary raise and bonus at Grant Thornton and Moody's investors service? Also, what should be the salary expectation range for a 6+ YOE, MBA, CFA ,FRM for New York Location in the financial services industry?
Hi All, Just needed some advice: I gave interview at Deloitte on 10th April and on 15th April I was asked to complete pre-hire survey and submit documents. After that there was silence of almost 1 month then I got call from Deloitte HR on 12th May and discussed salary and confirmed my candidature and told my joining date. After this I haven't got any response in mail - How long does it take them to roll out the official offer letter after oral confirmation? Any similar encounters?
Average M&A Tax salary at the Manager, Senior Manager and MD levels? Tough to piece the information together from Glassdoor/search results that’s M&A specific.
Hi All, A shout out to anyone who have been or is to be associated with #Alstom. I need some information basically for the salary discussion. I'm looking for the following details: 1. Fixed compensation as a percentage of CTC 2. Organization hierarchy/structure 3. Designation and expected CTC for a 7 YOE (the upper limit) they mentioned a budget of 22, not sure though Thanks in anticipation.
I haven’t had a salary increase since early 2015. What’s the best way to get a raise? Not in a major metro area, so jumping ship means going outside the industry.
Has any of you been outsourced and underpaid a slave salary? How do you deal with the trauma of knowing that the work you have been doing for so long is actually worth so much more? I'm sorry to use this bowl for this kind of conversation but I'm having suicidal thoughts and sadly my only other option is also been outsourced.
I just deleted an email from the newbie person that has what should’ve been my role/salary. Nah I won’t help you. Go figure it out on your own...
Full time realtor compensation: is 150k-200k typical for a mediocre agent in high COL cities?
Hi All, May I know the designations hierarchy in BA continuum?? especially for band 6 (levels before AVP & VP).. Is work from home available before Covid or any plan in future may be?? And if no bonus what will be the average hike percentage every year.. Thanks
Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.
I'm returning to work from maternity leave tmrw. Kids' bags are packed. My lunch, work bag & pump bag is packed. Coffee pot is programmed. Alarm is set. I still can't sleep! What's your AM/PM routine?
Wow, just wow... Here I am thinking, "I'm finally going to hit a milestone in my paycheck" just to find out that my salary is going to be 4k less😡. Let's not forget I don't get paid for my master's degree. Now I need a pt. Job. Reinstate master's pay...
How to handle politics with your own father who is wildly right and you are simply a moderate? My dad is not open in any capacity to anything besides fox. He’s a smart guy so it makes me sad that he’s so close minded about this. I want to be kind and respectful but the man doesn’t even consider other views or opinions.
Agency leaders my question for you is simple, what’s yo target metric for utilization of talent at your org? Talent being designer / developers / creatives.
Two questions: 1) I’m pregnant with my first baby (16 weeks), any advice on when to disclose? 2) Does that timing advice change given our current COVID circumstances? I’ve been WFH since March, and while the Firm hasn’t indicated it’s going to require us back in, a handful of partners I work have started to mention it. I’d like to nip that talk in the bud and feel like a reasonable way to do that is to disclose. Thanks in advance for any thoughts?
So.. EY’s health insurance through BCBS only covers Pap smears every 3 years now… HOW is this okay. I just paid $990 out of pocket because the rules changed this year. I’m pissed
Don’t want to talk about whether you like WFH or not but, do we think, when all is good and well, we’ll ever go back to being at the office full time?
Consultant currently work for a boutique firm - about 120 people. What are some of the benefits to working for a Big 4 firm?
Would you renege for an extra $17k sign-on bonus from a B4 offer if you’ve already signed with a boutique? Base is identical and I have 7YOE.
I'm just really sick of congratulating people on obviously accidental pregnancies. I know, I know, I'm evil. But whatever. I just feel that babies are best used as a compliment to a nice hollandaise.
Let's do a salary thread for parental leave policies: Post your firm’s parental leave policy. Fishbowl will circulate the data once we've reached 25 responses, so make sure to share with your coworkers.
Does anyone know what recourse a NYC tenant has against a neighbor with a dog that barks incessantly. I like dogs- I get dogs bark. But I’m WFH and have zooms and this is becoming a nuisance. Has anyone dealt with this before/any advice? Should I try to talk to the neighbor or will that screw me over/risk retaliation if and when I have to write a formal complaint to the landlord office...
Lady 🐠, every time I see one of these lists publish I always puke. For the most part I don't see our most talented and creative being highlighted... I only see the most politically motivated http://www.adweek.com/brand-marketing/37-women-who-are-disrupting-the-status-quo-and-championing-gender-diversity-in-advertising-and-tech/
Even the dog has to wfh...
Anyone at RSM know how long you have to be at the firm to be eligible for the parental leave benefit?
Urgently looking for a Public Sector implementation project in Canada as BA. Please let me know if anyone can help refer or guide me towards any opportunity.
I have an offer to join Commercial Assurance but I’m not sure what career path that could lead me to if I was to leave Big 4 - thoughts?
When your bosses always come in late but you get to work on time. So your coworker that comes in late and stays late with them gets the glory and the promotion. 🤔
