Hi there! Anyone have advice for dealing with a toxic team? Management is very sparse and attrition is high.. I’m leaning towards finding a new job because I’m getting nightmares about Zoom calls and work emails.

I put in my resignation, and will start training the new person. We both report to the CHRO. I want to warn her on the chro’s workstyle in that she takes credit for everything, and will throw her under the bus if something she’s working on goes wrong. Would I be wrong in doing that? We have multiple people have resigned because of the CHRO.

What are some tips on how to reach out to someone you don't know very well personally, but who works at a company you're interested in working at.

When I ask my manager for advice about how to do something, he usually just tells me I'll "figure it out yourself." But when it comes down to it, he doesn't help me at all by doing that—he just makes me feel like an idiot. And then when I do figure it out myself and bring the answer back to him, he won't even look at it! He'll just say something like "Oh yeah, thank you," and give me another assignment.

In small companies (especially startups), where HR may not really exist or the HR person may be the main violator, how do you deal with inappropriate behavior. If a person has been there a long time and is "too important to fire" how do you handle them?

At a startup I left because of this, my boss had been there since day 1. He was a nightmare. The last straw was when he took out his anger at a home issue on me and made fun of me for being upset. HR told me they couldn't do anything about him.
