I answer with how many team members I supervise on average...

TIL @ BCG you work 70 hours per week on average. In all seriousness, they see plenty of consultant applications and understand how it works. Just describe the nature of your recent projects and it will be fine.

And 75000000 annual revenue?!

Don’t worry about it but be brutally honest. I’ve been on Adcom and seen ppl get dropped for lying aka having inconsistencies in app. Your recommendations, work exp, and essays end up painting a very accurate picture and this isn’t the Adcom’s first rodeo. It’s really easy to sift through BS. Saying you have 0 reports vs. 2-3 is not going to have a material impact on your candidacy. Trust me.

Lol they asked to put annual revenue in dollars 💵 😂

Wait what’s the question? The revenue of the company you work at?

They ask this??

I’m a C2 and BCG and technically we don’t manage people. That being said it varies project by project where you shadow associates/ interns but you never write their reviews. Hence the confusion on how to frame this?

If it just says reports, I include indirect reports and elaborate in additional fields. If just direct reports, I put the 1 direct report on current project and elaborated on both direct and indirect in additional info

That annual revenue lol

If you’re married, what are some tips you would give to women before they get married? What are some things you wish you talked about or knew about your partner before getting married? What are some things you may have done differently?

Am working in a boutique strategy advisory firm (has a sector focus), a lot of the work is serving PE/investment firms on market analysis, target scouting and M&A commercial due diligence (buy/sell sides). Am planning to exit to a PE in 2-3 years time. What skills, areas do I need to work on and what do PE firms look out from senior lateral hires from similar boutiques? Appreciate your guidance here.

Still don’t understand the love for JetBlue. Out of Boston they are absolutely fucking horrible. Third week in a row of 4+ hour delays, and counting. And the clowns deliberately don’t cancel early

Looking at the Cartier Tank Must in L. I’m a first time luxury watch buyer, and I would really love to get the XL because of the movement, but it’s way too big for my wrist. I have the opportunity to get the Solar Beat, or the regular Must in quartz, but don’t know which to choose. Any insights on one vs the other?

I am interviewing for in-house positions where I would be expected to give advice, yet these companies do not seem to have either Westlaw or Lexis. One company told me that it relies on “Google Law.” Is this normal/common? How can I be expected to give competent advice regarding the current state of the law in a jurisdiction where I have never practiced (but where the company maintains an office) if I can’t research the law using up to date tools such as Lexis or Westlaw?

As an English-Speaking American, when reaching out to agencies in France, should I speak French or English? My French is pretty poor but I don’t want to be seen as an arrogant American who’s expecting another culture conform to my language. Thanks!

I have a Frontend Architecture interview coming up. Does anyone have any idea what kind of concepts do companies test in these kind of rounds? I have been working with ReactJS as the primary library
