Fair. I had an interview today. My answer was something along the lines of “in consulting, the strategic recommendations I put forward aren’t always realized, so I want to have a chance to realize the benefits of the strategy I’m working on “
Talk about why you really want to work at their company vs. why you want to leave your current role. Shift the conversation and make it more positive.
I usually respond with both. I like to answer their questions directly, but the reason I'm leaving coincides with why I'm interviewing with their company (another reason why it's important to do your research so you don't say something that isn't true about their company).
I always mention travel as one of the reasons
