Hi Fishes, Me being an introvert, finding it extremely difficult to perform in interviews.Sometimes I feel it's an automatic barrier to have a successful interview.I find it hard to engage in conversation with new people due to lack of confidence.Because I always prefer writing/texting over talking.Sometimes I don't even pick up the phone calls for interviews.I have received more than 100 interview invitations and have not attended one due to performance anxiety and fear. How do I get a job now😕?

For external interviews, try to remember you're talking to another human. They don't know everything either. You might even acknowledge you're a bit nervous because you're so excited about the potential opportunity. The eagerness and excitement is a plus. For internal situations (maybe not even interviews), when bringing something to a partner with that personality, I would lead in with something about valuing their opinion and trusting them which is why you're asking for their advice/guidance/feedback. But don't say it if it's not true...
Thanks! I have tried admitting I was nervous before and I think they just took it as a sign of weakness.... which in turn made me even more flustered
That can happen. It'd be foolish to think that type of perception doesn't ever exist. The question you have to ask yourself is would you want to work for that type of person? Another thing to try in advance would be to have the description in hand before you go into the interview and have it marked up with everywhere you know you're strong. Sometimes just seeing that can remind you why you should be confident. Same thing going into performance reviews vs targets or trying to get promoted to next level. You still win some and lose some but you'll know controlled what you could.
Thanks so much!! And it was a firm I really wanted to work for so I was willing to take that chance 😂 really appreciate the advice Eric, thanks so much!
NLP approach... Every day take some time just to stop and take a breath, squeeze your thumb and pointing finger together. Think about a time when you completed a task, on budget on time and received great feedback from someone who doubted you in the beginning . Think about how it made you feel, straighten you back lift your neck and chin up. Go back to that moment that made you feel so confident and every time you squeeze those fingers together re live that moment ,notice your energy lift, your stance the way your face looks the way you speak do it the mirror a few times . For your next interview 10 minutes before do the same thing, you wont be so intimidated in that next meeting you will have a wall of confidence to shield away anything they throw at you.
