How do you approach your bosses and say you’re burnt? I’m having a hard time dealing with the work load, keeping track of every little detail of my job. Being in an Administrator role, a lot is on your plate. A lot is expected of you. People rely on me! I’m soooo drained.

Honestly look for a new job. I was in this same boat, I raised my concerns, I asked for help, I talked to my boss, I talked to HR, I was given no help, I was told that they understand and would see what could be done, and they agreed help was needed. This went on for about 6-10 months. And I was notified that due to complaints and not getting my work completed, I would be let go. I was told this on 3/8, I was also told I will be terminated on 3/25. It’s the strangest thing I have no idea why they would give me notice that I’m getting fired. But they did.

It was the best thing to happen all the stress went away. I felt like I could breathe again, and I am now past the second interview with a company that I have wanted to work at for the last 8 years. And it looks like I’ll be accepting a promotion, an increase in pay, and less stress. And should that job fall through I am in a position where I could not work for a year and could still maintain my same lifestyle. So if this one falls though I’m taking a 30 day rest to clear out and readjust my mental
Health. Then I’ll hammer it again to look for a job.

I humbly would do it a little differently. Consider first reviewing yourself and taking stock of what things are causing you to feel overwhelmed; they overwhelm you because they matter. As such, consider then what options would solve these concerns to bring you back to normal. A great approach is looking at what has changed, regarding atmosphere, your role, your team. Then come up with a solution, your solution should be realistic and streamlined/ woven into your organization's fabric, potentially mimic a solution used in other areas of your organization. Sometimes it helps. Then have the conversation with your leader, state what you're feeling and bring up the solutions you think can make you happy. Don't be closed to troubleshooting other potential solutions together, it's about bringing you to happiness. That conversation will be very telling about what to expect going forward and whether you need to start looking for other work.

I would bring it to them just as you mentioned. In order for you to provide your best work, you need to have your wellness prioritized. If you express it as a risk to your wellness and satisfaction and you wanting clear understanding of your key work priorities, they’ll be moved to resolve it. Especially with the shortages that we’re facing, they won’t want to lose you.

Since you all are wise, I have a question, not really a confession though…but I will add a confession at the end..

If you submit to a specific role at a large company and they reject you for the role you applied, would you still be on file if there are other roles that are a match? Or, do you have to apply to each role? I am thinking it is the latter.

Confession question…how often do you stalk exes or people you used to work with? Like someone will come to mind and I will immediately (cont)

Happy Wednesday everyone. I'm so excited, I have a recruiter call scheduled with @Meta for Administrative Partner position. I've been in my current employer role for 19 years and I'm nervous as heck. I haven't had to do an interview in so long. Can someone please tell me what to expect with the recruiter call? I'm assuming it will be mostly about the role, my skills and background? Do they ask salary expectations? I have no idea what to say for the salary question. Feedback appreciated. Thanks

Hello everyone, I have posted before about a situation I am in with a potential employer. I received an offer from a hospital, I accepted it with the director, signed some paperwork for a background check and sent it back. It has been 3 weeks so far, the person I spoke to said HR should’ve sent me consent forms already, I’ve dug through my email and found nothing, I’ve reached out to HR as well but they won’t speak to me since I am not an employee. What do I do? I’m stuck in limbo.
