Anyone made the jump from consulting firm employee to opening an LLC and just becoming a contractor? I feel like I have a really hot skill right now and young (able to take a risk). Any advice?
If your hiring manger asked for a couple of slides for a project or body of work you did and are proud of, how would you put this together. Specifically the outlay? Using STAR will help but kinda cont
Reneging on an offer at a boutique. I plan to call the person who referred me to thank them and apologize, but do I owe the hiring manager or recruiter a call or does an email suffice? I feel horrible about it but my counter offer is too good to pass up, even if it means burning a bridge.
How do you exit without burning bridges? I don't have any motivation to leave work in a good spot. I just want to leave.
Have any US 🐠 gone abroad for their MBA? Looking at LBS / HEC. Pros, cons? Not looking to exit into MBB, FAANG.

Is there anyone at Dropbox who is willing to give me a referral for a software engineer internship position next summer (2022)? Thanks in advance!
PHR or SHRM? I am looking to get more certifications related to HR vs recruiting, but I am unsure on which one is "better" or will help me grow into more of a strategic HR role. Help!!!
As I’m job hunting, I realize that my experiences are very general and I feel like many of the roles I’m applying to will find out I’m a fraud when I interview. It discourages me from even putting forward a lot of effort in interview prep. I’m wondering if any of you have faced this internal issue when you were looking to exit and how did you overcome it?
Does it mean anything if HR scheduled you on a client in another state? Does that mean you’re not needed in your home office and they didn’t know what to do with you so they send you out?
So I've been working at my company for 8 months now as a business analyst. Both senior consultants on my project are leaving, with no replacements in sight, so the project work is most likely going to fall to me. I am already doing most of the work of a full fledged consultant as defined by the companies description. I'm only getting paid 55k a year which I'm being told by other employees is below industry standard (they take around 70% of my billable rate) and I'm feeling kind of stuck. Advise?
MC with acctg/finance background and 6 YOE in fin transformation, process enhancement, mgmt reporting and financial data. Light data analysis and process automation focus. CPA, but no MBA. What is a realistic exit role? It seems like most recommendations are focused on strategy and tech, but it feels like I'm only qualified for financial analysis roles. Somewhat new to the bowl, so I'm hoping for some perspective.
Hey Google 🐠! Was wondering if I could connect with one of you and maybe get a referral? Consulting has been pushing me to my breaking point as of late and I saw a few positions I think I could really excel in. Happy to chat, provide resume, etc. but it would mean the world to me! Looking to combat burnout and put myself in a role where I can learn, grow, and contribute at a sustainable rate

I had milestone in 2020 & 2021 C to SC. Both yrs good ratings, 6/6 ONL flags, Coach's F/b in iRPM - 'xyz is working on next level since last 2 yrs'. Strong support frm Project, 2 Awards. Still NO PROMOTION Talent f/b to coach - 'Scatterplot cut off didn't meet, can do better next yr' MD called today - 'You are doing good work, want to reward you 1.5L bonus with 12 month retention policy' I said - 'I am 100% sure I would be returning it if I accept, hence I decline this' Wats his next step?
B4 strategy or general 🐠, would love your advice. Currently, 2 YOE at a well known non B4 firm doing PI/Transformation work. I didn’t get promoted this year because I didn’t have enough experience in my particular group because I was staffed on a different project for awhile. I’m interested in Strategy analyst roles (1 YOE). Will me not being promoted hurt my chances? I’ll probably get promoted at the beginning of 2022. Should I wait until then to apply? Thanks. I’ve been trying to get some graphic design side projects to potentially pivot to self-employed designer. I think I have a competitive portfolio, but I’m having a hard time finding gigs. I tried Fiverr, but it is hard to compete with the prices they charge there. I know many people in the field, as I hang out mostly with designers and creatives, but not many people that could be a client. Any advice?
