How do you ask the employer to remove the exclusivity clause from the employment contract?

Just ask them to remove it or add language you seem more relaxed and acceptable

Just ask. They might refuse and say it's a condition of employment, in which case you're SOL if you want that job.

I have a final (3rd) interview for a Financial Controller (Plant) with a German based US company. It's with the CFO in Germany and 2 Finance Directors. The US Controllers hip team will also be present (although I already met them for the second interview). What type of questions can I expect?

My job started out great; autonomy, good commission structure, flexible hybrid/wfh. However, when commission started, they changed the numbers last minute so they didn’t have to pay me as much although I exceed their goal by 60%. New temporary manager has slight racism and retaliation against me when I asked for a raise and better higher up job, and now demanding we come to the office although was hired for hybrid. Feeling disrespected and I literally doing everything they can to not pay me

I need ideas. Our company is planning a sales training for about 35 employees.

We like to make these events fun with roundtable discussions, activities, skills trainings, etc.

What are fun/competitive sales training ideas that will get everyone involved but still focus on learning and skills mastery?

Hi everybody! 😊
I've been working as a Junior Analog Design Engineer for a year and half.
I received a proposal for a Senior Analog Designer role from Bosch in the same city where I am currently working.
Should I wait and build up a few more years of experience before accepting a Senior role or should I jump in and work to fill the gap?
Next year, there will be an important deadline for the project I'm working on and my resignation could be critical for the team, how would you deal with it?

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations

When you negotiate salary, how long does it normally take to receive an answer? It’s my first time negotiating and I feel way out of my comfort zone. It’s been 24 hours so far. I’m worried how this is perceived. Any tips is appreciated!

What are you all charging per word or per hour? Trying to get a sense of what the rates are these days?

I’m currently interviewing for a hybrid Jr UX Designer role for a fragrance company. The compensation is between 70-80k. I searched the market rate in NYC and the salaries are between 103-120k. I assume this is based on the company, industry, and experience. I have a graphic design background with 10 years experience and have a springboard certification for UX. I don’t want to get low balled as I have been in the past. Is it unreasonable to ask for what’s market value when it’s a team of 5?

I was offered similar positions at competing banks. The salary for both roles are the same. What are other things I should negotiate (I’ve only negotiated salary in the past never additional benefits). Also, I would love either position.

I received a verbal offer today for a Denials Analyst position. I asked for an offer letter or anything in writing but they said they were unable to do so if I haven’t yet accepted the position. Is this normal?

I'm being asked to return to the office. I was hired as a contractor for a remote position and then hired on as a permanent employee. I was told I would continue to work remotely but that was not mentioned in my offer letter. I'm now required to commute 1and 1/2 hours one way to the office 5 days a week. Should I ask for a pay increase to offset the cost of this added expense? Should I point out how valuable I am to the team and how losing me would be unfortunate?

It’s been over a year since I’ve been employed at my company and I want to speak to my manager about getting a raise. What should I say / how should I say it and approach the conversation? I have talking points about accomplishments and list of other tasks I’ve taken on outside of my job scope. I also received a job offer that is higher paying and I essentially want my employer to match/exceed it as I do enjoy working at my company and hate to leave. Any advice/suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Hello everyone, so I just recently starting my new job as a technical support engineer making 56k. Is that a fair value in the market? It’s my first job into the tech field and I accepted quickly because it was a huge bump to what I was making. However I just feel like maybe it was really “easy”. So just wanted to know if that’s about right?

Hi. Can someone share the salary package for a Sr Learning Consultant at Canadian Tire? Please and thank you.

Originally interviewed for Community Relations Coordinator for set asking salary of $65k. Now owner wants to change title to Branch Manager, increased responsibilities, but primarily still CRC role. Same salary and now will decrease to $50k after one year with an increasing commission rate. The idea behind this is motivation to earn more than set salary. At this point, I need the income and am not planning on staying longer than the year, if that. Is it worth negotiating? Any advice welcome.

I just recently promoted to HR assistant manager. I have my PHR and working towards my SPHR. I am the lowest paid employee in the depth. Is this good or bad? Im able to live elsewhere in europe and was thinking of the netherlands. Any suggestions on what to expect or how to handle this? I have other offers from other companies and am clueless as to how to use it in my favor.

I recently got a job offer while the salary is good they are only offering 40hours of PTO until the first year is up then they offer 80hours, is this normal? If not how should I go about asking for more? I thought it was fairly average for someone to get 10 days especially since Ive been in the industry for 7 years.

What should I be making? approximately 8 years consulting experience, approximately 7 years small business ownership experience, a MA degree (not entirely related to job). Little managerial experience in consulting, but biz dev experience and high performer with multiple promotions. Range?

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?
