How do you assess if you need therapy? Not really common in my culture / part of the world, so don’t really know where to begin.

Honestly, I think most people do! If you’re questioning whether you might, just go for it. Anyone can benefit from therapy.

Thank you all - I think for me it’s also about what will it do? I have people I can talk to, I am self aware to figure out what’s causing the feeling, what would a therapist add? I have no interest in medications, so is it just paying someone to listen to me?

Talk therapy does wonders if you find the right fit! I had two therapists and thought it was so stupid. When I found my third, the right fit, it was really really helpful

Telehealth therapy is popular in my area because of covid. I would say private online therapy works but group therapy online is less effective (ive done both)

Is it sad that I want to take mental health leave desperately but am worried if I leave in the next month I’ll screw over my team who is already short staffed and has a huge case that’s going to trial at the end of the month? I left hcl in august and have been trying to transfer pf from hcl trust to my epfo account. So this is what i tried:
1. On the epfo website , login and go to Online Services -> One member - one epf account
2. It asks for the MID of previous employer. As per hcl pay slip my pf account number is -GN/GGN/5572/474542
3. I am entering the MID as GNGGN00055720000474542 but getting an error.

Please tell me what am i doing wrong here? Or is there any other way to get the pf transferred?

I currently work at a senior level in product management, I have around 4 years of experience in the field. I'm severely underpaid and feel quite undervalued by the company. I've also been supporting my wife who's been doing her Masters for the past 2.5 years, and being in NYC my savings are absolutely minimal. Performance reviews are coming up and I over promised on improving/ automating a process for a client. I suffer from anxiety and this is my first engagement going on my 3rd full week with the client. Less than a year before I can retire and not sure I can make it. The stress at home, work and with the aches and pains of my 54 year old body are taking their toll. I wake up every weekday and dread the coming 14 hour day. I live for the bliss of two days off on the weekend when I can attempt to just ignore everything until Monday morning.

My first therapy appointment tomorrow! I’ve never dealt with depression before having my second kid and my PPD was/is rough! Filling out the intake form I basically had to list out all the things I’ve dealt with - rape, mom issues, death in family during pandemic, kid hit by car, ppd, and a slew of over things… looking forward to working through these things over time, whatever that might look like.
