Bain & Company What is the likelihood of making SAC in September 2022 if I join as an AC on April 18th at Bain & Company? I am a senior consultant at EY with 3.5 years of experience in Data Analytics. Or is March 2023 more realistic? They told me 6 months for promotion but it seems like the two promotion cycles with my different start dates give me 4 or 9 months of experience, nothing in between. I’ll be joining in the private equity group which will be new for me.

Awareness is everything. I’m old and there are certain things I definitely feel stuck with. You just have to manage it best you can. Focus on what you can control, your reactions being number one. Your breath is another. Simple breath work has really helped me. Focusing on your breathing, being intentional by taking 4-8 count exhales and inhales, really does help.

Recognize them and evaluate how you project throughout the day. It takes a lot of self reflection.

I’m impressed that you feel inclined to correct anything I think that’s 50% of the work. I agree that meditation helps a lot. I also really think about language and tone since they affect how we come across. Some flaws can be assets. You don’t want to be overdo it but being direct, precise, frugal, can be good things too if used with prudence. So yeah, self-awareness.
