How do you deal with a job turning out to not be what was sold to you?

Was brought in to transform the creative output and help evolve it as a whole from a startup to a growing, more established brand. Perfect.

I'm in the role for 8mths and they're always shifting the work to "doing things the old way" which is just crass shitty locker room humour and bagging out competition.

I've been pushing for change, but feel it's going nowhere and I'm at a loss.
