You offer help but people will not respond until they want to help themselves. Show them what you do, how you feel thanks to your fitness, and eventually people will join you

I have a friend who gained 40lbs during 2 years of a depression. She's trying to lose the weight but makes more excuses rather than taking real action. I try to be supportive, but know it's not my place.

As for my fiance, I try to motivate him by not encouraging poor food choices. (No dessert at restaurants or buying snacks/chips at the grocery store. Instead, many veggies and cooking most meals at home together vs eating out) I also make us go on walks together over the weekend but it's harder to do that during the weekdays. He knows he needs to lose 10-20lbs but hates goes to the gym. Since diet plays a bigger role than exercise (studies say) I'm not gonna push him unless things get worse.

with my friends, most are also into fitness and generally eat well and engage in some form of exercise [often the mutual interest that brought us together].

with family, it’s difficult. I see them once a week and it’s fast food this, excuses to not workout, that.

One of my family members finally got diabetes and that kicked him into gear real quick. For the others, I said something along the lines of "you keep saying you want to work out, so you either need to keep your word and do it, or stop saying you will." After that I think they were too afraid to commit to failure in a sense, so the only other option was to keep their word and start working out.

Lead by example and remain open. When they realize they need help, they’ll come to you. If not, nothing you can do but promote healthy behavior and not be part of the problem.

Kidnap and chain them to the basement radiator with nothing but a TV and P90X DVDs, tell them they don’t get fed unless they workout. Expect to see results in 3 months.

J/k there’s not much you can do except lead by example.

Looking to find a good accountant to setup and manage rental property. We own a two family in NYC, live in one and rent the other.

Hi everyone Google ,

I am facing interview trouble.
1. First round of interview has done
2. 2nd was scheduled on 1 july but interviewer did not join. After a few mails to hr and recruitment team one hr replied that they will reschedule it, and asked me for possible dates.

Since then i am waiting for the interview schedule as all of my given dates have been passed. I don't know how to deal with it as I don't want to miss the opportunity.

Anxiety before your sales demos?

Do these 2 things I used to do to get over it:

1. Know the product inside out - it will take time for you to gain confidence in your sales abilities but if you know the product will you’ll be more confident in that domain.

2. Do more demos - the more calls and presentations you do the more comfortable you’ll get. My advice is to try to get on a lot of presentations, even with leads that aren’t so good.
