How do you deal with inexperienced attorneys misguiding you or telling you to do things that are not correct? I’m helping out the Florida office (I’m in Ga) and I’m less familiar with their rules. I really want her to go ask someone what the correct steps are.

That’s a tough one. Depending on your relationship, you can be upfront about it or send them a copy of the code or procedure on how it’s done. Again depending on where you work, some can be grateful some not so much….

Is it really that hard to say please and thank you instead of barking orders at me like a dog?

I know we are busy, I know this is my job, but dang, it is a lot more pleasant to work for the midlevels and seniors who say please and thank you and show a tiny amount of respect and appreciation.

I actively avoid working for midlevels and seniors who just bark at me, never ask, and never say thank you because it just shows they don’t care about being a half decent human.

Need advice & perspectives: I got a verbal review from my manager saying he couldn’t see me as senior cuz I didn’t follow the design doc format he mandates from all designers. While I have been the only designer who does almost everything from design, UI asset creation, wiring up UI in Unity (I am in mobile gaming).
Also the product I’m on has been in MVP stage, things move extremely fast and design decisions changed constantly. He’s not on my team.
Am I crazy for thinking him a bad manager?

Our business is two years old and about 60 full time employees strong. We obviously do not intend on guessing so I'd love your best options of how you gathered this info. where you are! thanks.

So embarrassed. I literally had one job to do today which was to schedule a client and give and take her paperwork when she came in. Totally called her by the wrong name today AND gave her the wrong paperwork. She was really nice about it but I feel like my boss was disappointed and I'm disappointed in myself. I don't want her to think I won't be able to keep clients straight when I start doing supervised sessions.

Lately I’ve seen a lot of “Pride” jockstraps on sale because I suppose the Pride season is over — rainbow jockstraps etc. I was thinking tonight when I was at the gym that I might be the only gay who wears jockstraps for their intended purpose. Just curious, does anyone else wear them for non-sexual reasons? I like the look and feel, and wear traditional ones usually, and I’ve been wearing them since the late 90’s for athletic stuff.

Hi everyone. Is it typical for the attorney to take credit for the work a paralegal does? An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. Zero credit or thank you for the work I did.
