How do you deal with interview burn out? I’ve been applying/interviewing for months with no offers and at this point, after so much prepping and rejection, I’m just demotivated and tired.

I’ve had multiple interviews during the pandemic and have been honest about having a kindergartener at home and how we had to manage school at home. It was hard...and still is. And I feel like that has really hurt my chances at employment. Today CPS has announced school will be all remote this year—I feel really discouraged. Would it be wrong to just not mention my kids? I know I have limitations vs someone without kids but I really need a job. By the by, I have an interview today🤞

I’m depressed. Nothing unique about my depression - I’m in big law, my career defines me, when I’m not working I can’t find the will to get off the couch, I’m sad or I’m numb…I know I’m the only one that can make a change to my life…I’m on antidepressants. Just extremely unmotivated and paralyzed. Self-help books are not for me, but I am curious - has anyone tried a guided depression/anxiety journal? Any recommendations if so? Or, if you have experienced the same, what steps did you take?

I finally sought help today for my depression and anxiety. I can’t believe I waited this long.

I have to make a decision on a new apartment, and having terrible decision anxiety, which then stems into greater anxiety about my life choices in general. I always get like this when I have to make a big decision (e.g., grad school, job, new apartment, getting into a serious relationship). I start to believe I'll make the wrong choice and be trapped forever or veered of course, even though objectively I know the thinking is irrational. Anyone else experience this and have ways to manage it?

I'm seeing a psychiatrist & have one person who knows I'm going through depression & anxiety. But can't call them/reach out to them every time. I feel like I shouldn't because it's too late, too early, too often or too much...they are very busy. Considering how much I'm sick of myself, I'm sure they are too. But when I'm having very intense moments from suicide ideation& my coping mechanisms don't work sometimes I don't know what to do. How was your experience w suicide prevention kind of chat?
