I try to give answers likhe the most companies management gives Ankit salary hikes. Answer it but dint answer it.
Their motivation is to find the actual number and then compare it. If you still want to answer them, then it goes like this...
I have enough so that my expenses are covered.
Yes i am able to travel little to and fro and go for occasional movies.
Then talk about the tightness and toughness of the tech environment etc.
This way you answered and did not give them the opportunity to compare.
If people are still bent on knowing the number, i just say. . I don't reveal it to anybody so i am not going to break that for you.

How much you save matters for them.. I always tell them it is only enough for running my life and can't save it.. They give advice where to invest and save etc., Simply I listen and move out from there😊

Actually this is very correct, they ask earnings but wants to listen savings.
Before relatives asking that , you go to them and ask is there is any plot available for sale in their area? That's it...
This time if they ask again say like I invested in Bitcoin.
