It depends on the person. I have two on my campus that do this. One of them I was able to talk to about it and she hasn't done it again. The other one I only interact with when I have to and last time I had to get with her about something important I gave my admin a verbal heads up before hand. That helped when she emailed them because they already knew and and supported me. But I have a good relationship with my admin.

How can I develop a good relationship with my managing partner? Specifically - I feel like I make mistakes, and then like I need to compensate, but then feel like I’m over doing it, etc. I have a really nice managing partner so I want to have a good dynamic with him.

Is the answer just to be diligent, don’t overdo it, don’t under do it, and just try to make his life as easy as possible? Any other tips?

Today was one of the most blah days in a long time. Demotivated. Unrelated, last week turned down a “loose” offer for a FAANG job because I don’t like big corp culture, but wondering if I made a mistake. Listening to the Traveling Wilburys with some G&T though, which counts for something.

This fight has gotten real! I’ve been offered a job, advertised as remote, but they want to have a blended program with teachers on campus. Small school, 10-15 to a class... maybe, masks ( I’ll have to ask if they’re mandatory), distancing and a continuous cleaning staff. Sounds great but I’m 62 with 5 underlying conditions! Have to negotiate a contract Monday... I’m hoping I’ll be able to work on-line as NV is one of the growing hotspots in this Pandemic!
