gotta assume LEK will be raising associate comp soon with all the other companies that overwork their junior staff doing the same. how long do you think it will take and how much will it be? I am starting soon and am hoping they raise to 95k+ come Jan 1 but realize this may be a pipe dream. would like to hear others thoughts who are actually already working there
Been in consulting for 4 years at multiple firms (out of undergrad). Ultimate goal is tech (FAANG PM), on track for promotion in a year but worried 5 years will seem too long in consulting. Better to leave now?
Have you worked on a weekend? This is my first time experiencing this and I really want to raise this with my CD cause it’s concerning. Accounts are pushing me to send the layouts on a Sunday.
What is the best way to bring up a promotion with my manager? I’m a very awkward/shy person and I take on a lot of work without question, but I feel like I deserve a promotion. Please help
I have joined Deloitte 10 months back , now am looking out for a promotion, currently I am not in client facing , so my coach told we won’t have milestone , promotion is dependent on management How can I approach my management requesting for promotion . I almost have 7 years experience currently in Consultant role .. even I feel my pay is less compared to market standards
Friendly reminder to please stop telling your female coworkers that don’t want children “to just wait a few years - you’ll change your mind”. 😡
I’ve been a fed for 13 years within DoD and am in my early 40’s. Not sure when a promotion is on the horizon for me as I’m a top performer. What are thoughts of leaving the fed for a company like Deloitte?
This AirBnB IPO is bananas. They did a capital raise at an $18B valuation earlier this year, but now magically they are at $108B? Not touching this thing, I’ll check back in a few months.
How much did you make as an associate attorney out of law school and what year? I'm just curious for those of you that don't mind sharing.
One of our star coders was recently rejected from a promotion because they lacked the number of years of experience required. They've cut back their number of overtime hours dramatically and have started blogging about their skills, probably to attract recruiters. How do I convince them to keep their previous performance?
How much longer do you think the pandemic will continue? I know that no one knows but trying to see what people think. I have been holding off on a promotion cause of the pandemic so just want to plan a bit cause the promotion will lead to my workload increasing over 50% and salary only 5% . Just find working long hours in pandemic is extra draining but also feel it's time for next thing
I'm in a pickle about my salary- I had 1.5 years experience before starting my current role 2.5 years ago. The company had no marketing before me & I built everything from the ground up. My responsibilities have grown tremendously, including sales enablement, Rev Ops, customer success, product development & more. I had a conversation last August about my salary & was promised a raise & promotion, but it hasn't happened. Sales hasn't closed the revenue we need, but I've also never had a raise.
Working since 2013 in same company. No promotion Not good Salary Hike. Don't have savings to resign. What should I do?
I with a possible recession, is it smart to hop to industry upon senior promotion this summer? Or best to stay in PA?
Need some career advice- got a job offer, in industry, huge pay raise. Most of the job description is in line with what I want. Issue is, I’m not excited about. I love working from home but this group is in the office and wfh is not an option (unless there’s a reason, contractors, etc. at home). Been dreading my role in PA for years now and have been actively looking/interviewing but have turned down all offers for one reason or another. Pros/cons I should be considering?
Share your story, and why you’ve chosen to work with your firm or custodian here. So many BD’s force their clients onto expensive platforms. Raise awareness and help reduce client fees.
What was your raise from S2 to S3 in Tax? Last year I got 14% but I think there was some market adjustment but no sure.
Where is a new build???
Beyond 2 lines the text in each post card is cut off. I wonder how many lines in the comment section?
TIL that 'Big 4' = PWC, Deloitte, EY, and KPMG. Is Big 4 considered 'elite'? I've always viewed them as a step over from ACN, whereas I've seen Bain/BCG/McKinsey as a step up. Too much ACN Kool-aid?
We are overpaid for what we do. Discuss.
How many of you who make more than 200k a year have bought fancy cars ? Want to get a Porsche so bad but can’t justify.
Uber driver asked me to wear my seat belt in the backseat. When I responded with a nah I'm ok, she goes on to say - "I can't drive without you being strapped". Seriously wtf! Happened to anyone else?
I just said i love you to my 2 year old daughter and dont think ive meant it more than that in my life :)
Best MS cyber security degrees?
Anyone currently or finished taking the MSPS Tech Management at Georgetown and could share their experience? Is the program worth the 40k price tag?
EYP or A&M PEPI ?
Very things piss me off more than a sr manager, who thinks they know technology, and try to develop a mobile app on web technology with an offshore dev team. #garbage
WTF stranger things!!!?????
4th project I've been confirmed on is delayed due to SOW issues - just give me some work!!! 😈😈😈
