The best way to build trust is to not break it in the first place
Rising Star
Don’t know the details but the only way to build trust is to show trustworthiness, let the past go and just over time old things no longer are an issue. If the first two can’t be done then it won’t work and it’s time to move on
Become completely open and over communicate. Every small thing you told them that you would do, you do it. Become unmoving in your will to do something that you said you would do. These little things will slowly add up and rebuild that trust.
Get outside help too, to show that you’re taking this seriously. That can be from a great relationship book or a counselor.

Building trust takes time because we are all broken people with a past. Sometimes, you make assumptions about other people and you need time to figure out if they are true or not. I need time to build trust because I’ve been burned plenty by “friends,” and so I am careful - probably too careful at times.
But given time to talk through and build a relationship, you can build a strong, trusting relationship. Learn to be open — and it’s scary at times, and hard to do. Honestly.
