How do you develop willpower?! Does it just come with you when you're born or can you really build it? As I'm struggling through multiple areas, mainly around health, I'm realizing I have no willpower and can be broken down easily.... Want to work on it and need help

There's a whole behavioral science literature around this - willpower can be thought of almost like a muscle. You need to develop it and train it. You wouldn't walk into a gym for the first time and try to bench press 500 pounds. So treat willpower the same. Give yourself small tasks that don't seem that difficult (delaying gratification on things like dessert or impulse purchases.) Do it frequently but not excessively. Slowly work your way up to larger tasks (longer delays, starting meditation or exercise programs, etc.) It will grow.

Thoughts on Indexed Universal Life Insurance as an investment vehicle? I hear the pros and cons from the sellers of this, whom I understand gain heavy commissions. But wanted to get thoughts from investors and if this isn't a good vehicle, what alternative investment vehicles do you suggest (outside of stocks, Roth, 401k, and real estate)? Looking to diversify my portfolio. I'm 43, married, income 600k combined, and we have 2 properties worth 3m and investment accounts worth ~2-3m. Thanks!

Hi ladies, I need some advice here: Recruiter reached out asking what I’m looking for in terms of salary (prior to any interviews) for a role that’s a higher title. Recruiter followed with a salary $X that the role is currently offering. The market has a wide range. Their current salary amount falls about the lower third of market range (smaller agency). What would you do? I’d love to interview but don’t want be bound by anything I say at this stage.

6 months in at a new firm. 4th year attorney. Completely new practice area from what I did previously. The partner often sends the random potential client call ins my way. Many times, they have questions related to things I’ve never done and he only provides guidance if I can pull him away from something else to ask. I’m super low on hours but feel that it would be ethically wrong to take on a case involving an issue Im totally unfamiliar with and not confident handling. Wrong approach?
