I work for a highly technical, small, precision measuring instruments manufacturing company (25 employees -10M revenue). I manage 8 distributors globally and handle all inbound inquiries/leads outside of Europe and Asia and do all of the engineer qual.

We recently got acquired by another group but is business as usual. I have a 75K base and 1% recognized revenue bonus paid quarterly. I can't afford to work here much longer. Besides looking for another job -- any tips on a raise negotiation?

How do you handle a CD that overrides everything to do with web/UX/UI for their own opinions and tastes? A few months ago the same CD admitted to having no new web knowledge since the mid 90's...

My team and I have provided research/data backed design choices but our CD could care less. We present our ideas in a respectful manner but it seems he interprets it as a threat to his authority. It makes for a frustrating work environment and our products aren't nearly as successful as they could be.

Fixed is almost same however Accenture is giving more variable.

Since starting at this company in January 2022, they’ve increased my base pay from 75k to 85k. Moved me in a desirable territory to maximize sales. allowed me to speak and train reps for what has been working. Given me the freedom to work strategies that work for me.

I absolutely love this company so far. I know my worth is higher than 85k base but sheesh. The way they value me and treat their employees right. Maybe it’s worth the lesser pay?

I have been an RN for 2 yrs and 6 m now. I started my nursing in the sub acute unit of a hospital, it was ok i didnt mind it. Right away they made me one of 3 charge nurses and I felt the pressure but I was ok. Switched to outpt GI setting and loved it the only thing I didnt like was not being home with my kids since it was mon-Fri because we were short staffed I would do 10 hr days at times. decided to apply for bedside medsurg. constant anxiety attacks now hate being an RN. Im only 3m in.
