I keep my work number/whatsapp seperate so they don't get my suggestions in their social media.

For me, only managers who are friendly, proactively encourage social media. Other than that, never an issue. If in your case, search for your manager's profiles and block him/her before they do🤣

Just have a private profile!

If I don’t want them to follow me and they request me, I just deny it. I’ve never had anyone bring it up before either.

Keep everything locked down to private settings and don't friend people you don't actually know in real life. Pretty simple 😊

Why Google is so anti remote . I know collaboration is cool, but if I am good with remote work then what is the issue . Been mostly remote for past 6 years without issues .

Question: I joined EY around a month back. On bench still and nobody apart from HR has contacted me. I have found another offer in the meanwhile. They are prepared to give me a 50% hike on EY's package. Should I take it or wait? My friends say, frequent job hopping will affect my resume. Tbh, I spent 6years at my last organization and EY is my first switch. I'm unhappy so far and don't think its a right fit for me. Any advice? Should I wait or go? Or negotiate with HR in EY against this offer?

Incoming first-year litigation associate starting remotely next month. Any general tips and tricks you all have learned during this virtual period? Also, if there are any 2009 law grads that had their start date delayed, any advice would be greatly appreciated. My brain sort of feels like mush, and I know my legal writing and probably some other skills have declined. In other words, I feel less smart than I felt while in law school and am nervous about starting in Jan after a 5 month break.

This may sound crazy, but does anyone else not love summer break? I enjoy my work. It gives me purpose. Sure, we plan and do things over summer, but I find the constant pressure of finding constructive things to do day to day increases my anxiety. Give me two weeks like winter break and let’s get back to it 🤷‍♂️
