All of the robo-advisors I’ve seen invest in low cost ETFs. Are there any that invest in individual stocks? It feels like this would be much more effective at tax loss harvesting because it would de-average the holdings within each ETF. When lateraling to a new firm, what questions would you ask to make sure it’s worth it for you ?

I am lateraling. My start date is Sept. 7. I was planning on giving my current firm notice on Aug. 2 so my last day would be Aug. 13 and I would have a few weeks off before starting the new gig. Was just perusing the employee handbook of my current firm and found that the separation policy requires at least 4 weeks’ notice. I’ve never heard of this before, and I’m at a loss as to what I should do. I don’t want to lose the time off but don’t want to lose benefits for Aug. either.
