Depends on the focus you want to have in your daily work. Happy to discuss further as I have been on both sides

I have worked on both sides, feel free to DM

Both have pros and cons, I’ve done them both! Happy to answer more specific questions.

Hi - I got your DM but I’m unable to reply there?!?
Anyway - I started in agency and was in that environment about 8 years. It can be really fun especially when you’re so young in your career as it’s typically a lot of other folks in similar situations. The volume is typically much higher and faster paced. It can be very competitive. Base compensation is typically lower but with decent commission structures. Sometimes it can feel cut throat, but that completely depends on the firm’s culture. But overall staffing can give you some really good experience and if you can “make it” in staffing it’s pretty widely agreed upon that you can work in any recruiting function, hah!

In-house recruiting is *typically* a bit slower paced, longer process. Usually folks don’t burn out as much as in staffing though pay is usually not as lucrative.

Early in my career, staffing was so much fun and I gained a wealth of experience that I felt really set me up quite well for my move into in-house recruiting. I can’t say one is better than the other but at this point in my career (about 14 years in), in-house lifestyle is much more accommodating as I have young children and really value my flexibility and autonomy.

HR from old job wants to reach out to me about something I mentioned in my exit interview. Why would HR want to reach out to me when I’m no longer employed? Been at my new company for a month now. I left bc my old boss was not good. I dealt with HR in past about the issues with my boss & team for months but of course HR was no help resolving the issue. Should I tell HR to shove it & don’t contact me again? I said what needed to be said. I’m very happy in my new job btw.

How should I react to a super disrespectful manager? She had a meeting today and google meet stopped working. Instead of thinking: oh a technical problem occurred she started blaming me saying that I should have created a corrected link. When I told her that was quite impossible her answer was: I forgot you are miss I am never wrong Linksare autogenerated by google meet, if I was able to “create” links and codes I would not have been her assistant but already in the valley making tons of money.

Also, I'm currently going through cancer treatments and need one day off every three week until August. Would this be unattractive to a new employer?

This may be a dumb question lol...

But, here goes:

So I am a TA, filling 20-30 call center roles per month, on top of taking over some HR responsibilities until we fill our HR Manager roll..so I stay pretty busy, working 40-50 hours per week.

I was wondering...What do TA's do when they don't have any open positions to hire for? Does this happen? Is this a thing?

Hi Campus Recruiters in Canada! Kindly drop a comment here, would love to connect. I am a Computer Science Graduate student graduating next year in April. I have two years of experience in Technology Consulting.
Thanks and Regards

I was offered a promotion but due to internal policies the max comp they could offer was way under market value. I countered and was denied. I took time to think about it, being disappointed I applied for other jobs. Monday came and I decided to accept the offer. A week before starting my new position I got a call for one of the jobs I applied for. I am now going through to the last round of interviews the same week I start my new position. Would it be bad practice to accept another offer now?
