There’s good data that says woman’s resumes are 60% longer than mens. But women have more experience proving to do. Use strong verbs, metrics and outcomes.

I was laid off in late 2020 and got a job coach/resume coach.
I was told to only include the last 7 years of experience UNLESS the experience directly applied to the job opening. And you can leave off education that does not apply to the job opening too.
A two page resume is fine.
Every resume is tailored to the job posting.
Practically this means that I had a “master” resume with everything in it. For every job application, I would take different parts from the master resume and write some new bullets for my “job application resume”.
It seemed like I was getting past more filtering/screening interviews with this approach.

Cut it to what’s most relevant. You can discuss anything else in the interview and unfortunately, many resumes don’t even get seen because companies use software to get around viewing them. Short and sweet to get their attention.
Your advice is so eloquently put.

Do not include work from your teenage years.
I include my internship because it is helpful for any hospitality roles.
Two pages is great if you have that much experience, but never more than 2 pages.
Nothing wrong with a 2-page resume. I’ve been the hiring manager on my team for the past 4 years and most resumes are 2 pages.
I’ve heard relevant data and within the last 10 years… but things change all the time
You don't necessarily need to cut it to 1 page if you have a lot of relevant experiences but I wouldn't go over 2.
You can hack it by extending the vertical length of the paper since everyone's usually viewing it digitally. It's rare companies are gonna print the resume nowadays, unless you were planning to
Mine is two pages long with a PhD. I cut it down by only including the five most recent work experiences and cutting out conferences, older awards, and publications. If you can keep it to two pages, I think you'll be fine.
You can also try to cut down the information to 3-5 blurbs per each role
You can for earlier jobs. 1 for early jobs
Ive worked with several senior women in tech in NYC on my own resume and when they share their resumes with me its Always one page, they make it so simple and clean despite having so much experience. Take out what doesn’t show value, every bullet point should be a value add and stat, general tasks have to go or be combined. Unfortunately the software for resumes that bigger companies have do look for keywords so maybe submit 2 page for that and then use a 1 page version when sending directly to people etc. You can also add white text with keywords to get your resume to pass through that software supposedly (i havent tried it)
