I would list the positions separately. That way, it may prompt a question from potential employers that would allow you to explain that the reason for the position change was not perf related but moreso related to company reorg.
You can put an asterisk on there *company restructure with different title tiers, responsibilities remained unchanged. Something like that.
Also, you can simply leave the second position off and talk about it in your job interview if you want. Eg it it was a director-level position still but the titles changed to associate on an official level due to reorg. The role remained the exact same.
Just don’t put it there. Assuming that’s possible
